Restricted from trading and Auction house

Why am I being restricted from using the auction house and from trading, for a WHOLE MONTH?

I’m not even playing Season of Discovery, I’m playing Hardcore on the new Anniversary server.

On top of that, I’m NOT a new player. I have played Wow for years.
I only switched region because of the streamer hype. If I’m not new then why am I still being restricted like this.

I did not pay money to play just half a game.

And what is the point anyway? Stop botters? Stop gold buyers?
As if existing players can’t do those things. I actually saw a multiboxer the very first day of play here.

I’m sorry but this is actually unacceptable.

i am having the same issue and my ticket that i submited took 28 hours to get a response for the game master to state this is not a problem we can fix try posting on forums. said they couldnt offer a refund or a free month next month so i could use the full sub bliz needs to make it right

It’s actually ridiculous.

I had to wait 24 hours for my payment to go through, and I had to play with full restrictions (even the chat) for 24 hours, only to find out I’m still being restricted…for an entire month.

And NO warning was given prior to buying game time on this server.

Way to kill the hype for me.

I am in the same boat brother my blizzard account is over 15 years old i dont understand why they think we are new

They think I’m new because I switched regions.
But the only reason I did that is because I thought it would be fun to play during this whole streamer hype.

But it’s stupid because it’s the same overall blizzard account.

I’ve had my account since 2004 when WOW first launched and I came back for the anniversary only to have these restrictions. What a buzzkill.

Its not like my account hasn’t been active either, just not WOW, I’ve got tons of other blizzard games that I’ve spent money on and played within the last 12 months.

I have contacted support and received the following replies:

Customer Support and Game Master will not lift these restrictions or intervene. This is something that the developers need to decide, if and how they wish to change it for all affected accounts.

And Also:

I have taken a look at your request to refund the 60 days of game time, however we cannot do it either as there are too much game time played on the WoW account.

So they won’t even give a refund.
(The only reason I have already played on this account is because the payment was pending but the game time was already in effect. I was fully restricted for the first 24 hours (including chat) and only after those restrictions were lifted I found out I was still being restricted another month.)

How is this in anyway fair?

  1. I am not a new player, I only switched regions.
  2. I am not playing SoD, I’m playing Classic Hardcore. And supposedly these restrictions shouldn’t even apply to normal classic players.
  3. NO warning was given prior to buying game time that this would happen, they just implemented this under the radar.
  4. Only after the first 24 hours of restrictions I found out I was still being restricted for another month.
  5. Restrictions are not lifted and game time is also not being refunded.

It’s actually makes no sense at all this is happening. And what is this suppose to stop anyway? Gold buyers that flood the market? As if long time players can’t buy gold and flood the market.

As of today Blizzard and community manager Kaivax are actively closing threads and suspending players who speak out against these restrictions. On top of that we have the endless herd of donkeys that come to these threads attempting to argue with us, tell us to quit, tell us to shut up and endure the unjust 30 day punishment, I implore you to simply ignore the donkeys and report them for trolling.

Blizzard could have made the limitations on accounts much more bearable for new players.

  • Allow for small transaction trades
  • Allow for small transaction Auction House sales

Not allowing your players to trade or use the auction house or send mail between their own characters for 30 days is unacceptable and quite frankly fraudulent business, I and many feel robbed by Blizzard.

You’re copy/pasting this message into threads.
That’s spam, and it’s against forum policy.

It’s for awareness since other threads are being closed and I don’t have to time to rephrase.

I noticed them merging topics to that one thread and closing it. If there were still an active thread then ok, “spam” or whatever, but they merged other threads to the active one and closed the active one…

People should be able to give their feedback, doing what the mods did without even a blue explanation anywhere (outside of the post from months ago) looks very unprofessional.

They’re being closed because people are using alts to make the same thread over and over.

They closed the thread that had all the merged threads. Looks like they’re censoring this issue.

We are not alts. We are every single new player and returning player (who haven’t paid subscription in the last 7 years).

That’s nice. Keep spamming the same post in a dozen threads and call everyone Donkeys. That’s a winning strategy.

Hey Zaalg (donkey) go munch on carrots somewhere else and stop distracting from the purpose of the thread.

Yes, I think it was possibly an accident closing the big thread but it’s not a good look.

There’s no reason that feedback on this concern in general should be censored IMO.

I have seriously no clue why they would do this.

It’s a bad idea from any which way you look at it, even a financial perspective.

  • Restricting new players for an entire month is not a good welcome to the game.

  • Punishing returning players just for not playing for a while is clearly pissing people off.

  • It’s highly doubtful this will stop gold seller in any way, especially on a brand new server.

There is literally nothing to be gained from this, not for the players and not for Blizzard.

Blizzard is staying silent and trying to hush us up because they know implementing this policy on new customers without notifying them first is a fraudulent business practice. Blizzard advertised a full product and all new players and returning players (who haven’t paid subscription in 7 years) got an unplayable version of this product.

Real fun if you have a mage and people ask for water/food and you have to tell them that Blizzard has prevented this type of activity to protect the game.

The asinine part is Blizzard blocking mail between alts but I honestly believe they are so stupid they don’t realize that is in effect. Seriously on my ticket it is very evident that the script monkey does not even read what he links to and not once have they acknowledged that I cannot send mail between my own alts.
