Restrict Accounts to only One Character per Server No Name Changes Allowed

Please bear with me here. As beneficial and fun as it is to have multiple characters per server is. Here’s a question:

One thing that people have complained about Wow is that players for the most part do not indulge in the in-game social aspect and that at times some players tend to be on the toxic side.

I was thinking that “In Theory” If a player could only create one character per server that they would comport themselves in a more positive way because now they would have a reputation to uphold on one server.

Ps: No name changes allowed.

I really don’t like the idea much. But I’m just putting it out there to see what you all think of it.

I have 49 characters, my 50th will be my dracthyr. Yes, I am an altoholic. I use my alts to farm for different mogs, mounts, achieves, and such. I am also an RPers so all of my characters are completely different. If I could have only one character per server… There aren’t 50 different rp servers.

That is a VERY hard no for me.

Only if that one character can change classes and has all classes availble.

How about…

Wait for it…

No.

Absolutely terrible idea. The game needs to be more alt friendly, not less.

And change races for free!

I disagree, people can change their names if their reputation is that badly ruined.

You can find alts by using different websites. Ignore is account wide. This “idea” of yours does not make much sense.

That’s probably one of the worst ideas I’ve heard today… Yeah, nah… Hard NAH!

Not happening - you also have people wanting to push for raising the character cap for more alts.

Though, there is a certain other game that benefits from rolling just one character since you can be everything on one character…

I think it is about one of the most ridiculous ideas that I’ve ever heard of quite honestly… Right up there with the T&T trolling threads.

I don’t see how one equates to the other. Having one character isn’t gonna make someone more social and will just limit their in game time.

No. Because then what happens if your guild needs someone to go tank or healer and no one can because lol only one character per server. Can’t be social if your guild disbands because lack of a certain role.

Just @ me next time okay? xD But yes more character slots! I don’t want to delete some of mine because, yes it’s gonna sound stupid, but I am attached to them. My first toon ever is on my first server ever and since her name is taken on my main server, I don’t want to move her.

But yes, FF14 lets one character be everything so you don’t need alts unless you want to be a different race. I personally still would make multiple characters because I am an altoholic haha

I could not disagree more even if I tried. I keep all of my alts with my main because they al benefit from each other. I can fund stuff on my own with just having alts do what I need done. Removing them removes almost 75% of the reason I still play this game. Love my main and he does the hard, end game content, but the alts are there for when I no longer want to raid or dungeon. And they might be on other servers, but I wouldn’t touch them since they don’t benefit my main, so that removes any reason to play outside of raid logging to me.

It’s a stupid idea.

A hard no, this would make getting groups going all that much harder because you can’t get the required roles.

I don’t need to read past the topic of the thread to know this is an awful, ridiculous, and silly idea that will never happen.
