Restoring items using item restoration

Hey guys,

So having some weird issue when trying to restore an item using “item restoration”.

I chose the character, the item and at the last stage (review item stage) , i hit the restore items button and then page refreshes and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

I don’t think your supposed to get an answer right away back if that what you mean? A GM has to go back and find the item and then decide whether or not to give the item back, which I think they usually do but I’ve heard of people not getting things back. But nevertheless you still have to wait for a GM to go back through your account stuff and find and restore it.

He’s clearly using the automated item restoration tool.

Sounds like you might have an issue with the browser. Did you try clearing you cookies and trying again? If you still run into an issue, I’d open a ticket. I restored an item yesterday and didn’t have any issues.

I’m going with this. Also, if you use ghostery pause it, that addon can break a website like nothing else. Other addblockers, popup blockers etc can also cause issues

tried Chrome and Edge. Edge doesnt even have addons since i never touched it.
Cleared cache and cookies… how do i log a ticket? Ingame?

If you trying to restore something like say a season 2 azerite piece you also need titan residum. “It’s supposed to give an error detailing this, but doesn’t always do it correctly as it’s currency instead of a crafting mat.” is what I was told after I had put in a ticket.

I had no trouble doing it in firefox, while I’m only using Linux.

It will definitely give you a confirmation, on it working (or whatever reason why that item can’t be restored.

Also, under “Support”, at the top, you can click and see “my tickets” (which is a history.)

It left a ticket that said this for me, when it was an item I accidentally sold instead of scrapping (which it restored in the mail very fast ):

I want a restoration for a sold, disenchanted, or deleted item

Are you using protection? (Not that kind…) Things like Noscript, Ghostery, etc might interfere. I have the Blizzard board whitelisted.

yeah nothing in mail
was a season 1 azerite piece
was not using any addon

If it was acquired after the december 11th update (darkshore world boss/ warfront) it would still have given titan residum if disenchanted or scrapped. In my case I had disenchanted 2 385s that later I discovered had better traits. So when I went to restore them I didn’t have enough tr which of course it didn’t tell me. The page just kept refreshing like you described.
Not saying that it’s necessarily what’s happening to you but it sounded similar to the issue I had.

I’ve only used OpenSuse Linux, since the BC expansion of Wow. That was when I deleted my “Vista” (EWWW) partition. Windows Freedom!

I’m just using stock OpenSuse with wine-staging. Wow works great.

Since the changes, it doesn’t work in regular Wine as far as I know (that was when we went to wine-staging.)
