Restore Kael'thas' Voice Actor

if i follow somebody who lit my house on fire around with a bullhorn yelling that they’re an arsonist and a judge orders me to stop doing that, it doesn’t prove they’re not an arsonist.

Only matters in a court of law. You don’t have a right to due process when it comes to businesses and private citizens. Here’s the simple fact at the end of the day.

This is Blizzard’s game, it’s Blizzard’s character. They decide who gets to voice him. If they decide that working with a particular voice actor is too risky because of accusations that have been levelled against him, then that’s their choice. Either way it’s bad PR for Blizzard as these things are rarely settled 100%, there’s almost always a cloud that hangs over the entire situation for years, if not longer.

If they choose to do nothing, it’s bad PR because people will get outraged that they’re working with a sexual deviant.
If they choose to cut ties it’s bad PR because people, like the folks on this forum, will get upset that he got replaced.

The only way Blizzard gets vindicated is if it is revealed that he’s innocent and that hasn’t happened yet. He claims that he didn’t do these things, but I’ll remind you, Rolf Harris said he didn’t do what he was accused of. So did Bill Cosby. So did Harvey Weinstein. People who are accused of these types of acts will always lie to attempt to save face, especially if they’re famous.

The obvious decision to just restore his lines and rehire him, will Blizzard do so is the grand question.

i want to become bff with you and pyri tbh.

That is the smart business decision.

:surfing_woman: :surfing_man:

if this is the case, i’m more curious of one question:
Why?

Why would she do this and what was her true endgame of this? What would she gain for destroying a person?

I’m asking this because I don’t believe people do this for no apparent reason or for “Brownie points” for some basis.

and that’s still got my head scratching there

thing is that even if he was found innocent, his behavior that led to this may be unprofessional by Blizzard’s standards (I mean the whole sugar daddy thing)

The other thread people went on my throat for saying that they highly unlikely will restore him…

It’s the media garbage threads that I avoid for plenty of reasons…

What other people got restored in game after the swarm went for the head of any known person?

Cancel culture is a thing and it is unreasonable to expect Blizzard to be blaze the trail to cancel cancel culture. They are a business first and foremost.

Blame society for developing this bloodthirsty culture and unreasonable demands for instant retribution before a case has been fully worked through.

Actually has parallels with raider IO too. Far too many people use it to cancel (deny) otherwise capable people from content they are otherwise geared for and just like arguments can be made why the keyholder has rights to determine who comes to the run, so too does companies get to decide which public figures they allow to be associated with their work.

Irregardless if the man is innocent or guilty, he still has the stink of possible scandal and Blizzard has the right to kick/decline him for his “bad IRL IO” despite how qualified and good he is as a person overall

Technology has come too far to trust what you hear without it being verified apparently.

I mean the clips online seemed pretty believable - I considered this a done deal.

I always thought the “let it settle in a court of law” thing was just a meme, but evidently not.

Some people are insane. Look at John Hinckley Jr. No understandable logic there, just a crazy mind.

Restore the actor you gutless cowards! Due process!

Only that person can answer what was going on her mind

Like I said, I read the whole thing. There’s one woman (in her 30s) he was texting and sending voice messages to for a few months, and in her head they were dating. Then she found out about woman #2 ((late 20s) that he met in Wales and went on one date with) and got jealous. Woman #2 also thought they were in a relationship for some reason. Then they both found out he got married and woman #1 made the Twitter account to try and cancel him. Then other people joined in with stories like “I met him at a con and he called me hun and gave me a hug, I should have known he was a creep!” and “He told my 17-year-old friend she looked pretty!” Wow. Someone arrest this awful man

The only “evidence” is stuff taken out of context, like one cosplayer who said he licked her leg even though a bunch of people who were there have confirmed the photo was staged, and screenshots of completely normal conversations he’s had with fans and him liking cosplay pictures, etc. If you’re not going to do your homework, just be quiet.

There was an article in Gamerant highlighting the Twitter account back in November 2020. I wonder if they will bother to do a retraction?

that’s not the only evidence. he talks about multiple things himself in his tweet. he denied any wrong doing ofc. but he admitted to quite a bit.

Jealousy will make people do that.

People are wierd and commit evil things. Its just hard to determine their complex reasons

we technically do. Hinckley believed that Jodi Foster would be sexually attracted to him if he shot former President Regan.

well viable, but it’s also why false things fall apart

You following someone around with a bullhorn also is not evidence of them having done anything. It’s possible you lit your own house on fire for the insurance money and are attempting to frame someone you don’t like, this is why we have a court of law and a presumption of innocence.

I agree, but that’s not what’s happening in this thread. The accused posted an image on twitter saying that a judge told her to stop harassing him, and people here are reading that as “a judge said he didn’t do anything wrong” which is not what has happened so far.
