Restoration of Thas'alah, Void Elf Paladins, and Blood Elf Druids

Where am I going? I was just concluding our interaction. And so what if I get the last word?

Oh no, he’s still going, I guess he is here to argue.

No. As reward for aiding in the protection of the dream, they are granted permission to learn the ancient magics of druidism.

-gestures to the Tauren- You got druids. Right. There.

Don’t need Nelves to help when we have Druids in our faction.

Exactly. I don’t see Tyrande being too happy with her people if they were to start teaching Horde new things that could be used against them.

From a technical standpoint, I would even agree with you. The thing is, the story currently desperately tries to portray a “carebears” approach. The Horde has, among other things, largely destroyed Ashenvale, blocked the main route in Feralas, contaminated Darkshore, burned down Teldrassil, attacked the Night Elves in Stonetalon Mountains etc. and now the Night Elves are inviting the Horde to their new little village on the Dragon Isles.
The place is officially neutral right now on the ptr, and ironically, the Horde can currently even attack the NPCs there. That’s the way Dragonflight is currently scripting the factions.

And as someone who is not a fan of the endlessly recurring conflict and all the division, racial segregation, etc… I still have to say, it’s pure nonsense how Blizzard is writing the story atm.

Anyways, as it stands now, the night elves would help the Horde.

I honestly can’t recall the last time a Tauren Druid was relevant (within the lore).

I feel like Tauren Druids were just shoehorned in classic so Horde could play the class. Even Thunderbluff is underwhelming as far as druids go, they come off more as a Hunter/Warrior race.

Meanwhile Night Elves incorporate Druidism in almost everything, growing trees all over the place.

But… but… whispers they have fleas!

Hard disagree. But I want them to write some lore for them first. Considering the connections of the light with naaru, and the naaru’s light to void life cycle, I feel like they could easily come up with something to justify it. Like have them find a naaru in its dark form and take it back to telogrus rift. Have them gain power from it, not unlike the blood elves back when they were cool. And if they really want to spoil us, give them cool shadowy looking paladin spells. I’d play the crap out of that.

Hmm… furry elves?

I may be interested

#1 idle animation I hate…
#2 is the nelf bounce.

Eh, I still think it’s a leap. But time will tell. They offered no explanation for the newest class/race combos as far as I know, but I might be wrong.

I think they always keep the faction conflict as a possibility in case they run out of plot lol

Doesn’t matter what lore they write, it would only be a retcon and a hypocritical story. There is already established lore on how light and void interacts with each other. On top of that, if the void elves had high regards of the light, they would never had approached the void at all.

It’s bad no matter how you think of it, and before you toss in “but meh individualism!” that is also tossed out of the window with the above for mentioned.

And no, light/void cycle naaru won’t work in this case.

And big no on void paladins, void knights would be a different class with different mechanics due to how the void operates differently then the light.

This is what an unhealthy obsession looks like.

this is what trolling looks like.

Don’t want to further derail OPs thread, but real.

However, the customizations are there so I don’t think it’s a big deal if void elves get paladins. Mine is just going to stay a gold goat, because I think being a Lightbulb void thing would look lame.

UNDEAD PALADINS,THO

Undead Paladins are more offensive to the lore than Void Elf Paladins tho

Where did I say anything about lore?

Where did I say you did?

I agree, although I wouldn’t mind being able to choose the race for my lightbulb charecter since the lightbulb army was originally depicted having multiple races, and just having turalyon/alleria surviving outland seems odd when they had an army go through the portals escaping.
