Restoration Druid Spreadsheet

This tool will help you determine if an item is an upgrade for you, and improve the amount of healing you’ll be able to do over the course of the fight. Instructions on how to use the spreadsheet are provided therein. Hopefully this is a useful tool for would-be Restoration Druids.

The latest version can always be found at:

Currently on v1.3.3.

You’ll have to make a copy to use it yourself.

Good for all druids! Never healed so will be learning it as I go so resources are helpful!

I hope it is of some use to you!

You can bump your own threads, just comment on it, on a different character

I’ll keep that in mind for this one. I figured it’d be the same thing since it’s the same account.

Spreadsheets!!!

where the graphs at!!!

What sort of graphs are you looking for? I could potentially add them if you really want them.

Great spreadsheet. Here’s a bump.

i was being a smart alec.

but maybe hps output over gear level progression (Pre raid, t1,t2,aq,nax), idk how useful that would be.

My keys!!!

I can do that, but that information is sort of already available. There’s a total healing per spell in the Spell Breakdown window which shows you the total healing you’ll do over the course of a fight.

You can just divide that number by the fight duration. Correction: I can just divide that number by the fight duration. Should be an easy add.

This is fantastic, and well done. I really hope when or if Blizzard gives us class forums you can post it there as well, would you happen to do other specs for druids?

Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, that would be nice. Then it wouldn’t need to compete with so many other topics.

I could, but that’s a lot harder to calculate until I actually have the proper values for every boss.

For example, Feral (bear) needs to know the frequency of attacks and the damage range of those attacks to know exactly which items would be an upgrade in terms of mitigation.

I think DPS could be calculated more easily, for both cat and bear form, but DPS for a Balance druid would be more difficult because each boss have different spell resistance, and the best gear will depend on how much resistance the boss has.

Restoration druid is really easy to calculate, because none of the healing is actually affected by armor, spell resistance, or damage values. How much healing you do is based entirely on your gear and the spell rank you use. Any spreadsheets I made for any other spec would be far less accurate by comparison.

If I were to do another spreadsheet, it’d probably be for the other healer specs first, as any of my alts are likely to also be healers.

I’ll have to check it out when I get home. I use Taladril’s usually.

Oi. Get back to the top. It’s been a week.

Hey, stop talking about important stuff and look at a bunch of numbers. Back to the top you go, thread!

Oh man I completely forgot about this spread sheet. This is too good not to bump.

Thank you, have a bump! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you.
