Restoration Druid: Gearing for 10.1

Quick question to all the droods out there.

Im bringing my resto to 400ilvl for 10.1 which I haven’t touched since SL.

Is the Lifebloom build still the way to go? or did it get super nerfed to the ground?

All I care to do is M+ with it and I honestly… hate cat-weaving.

yes

you dont really need to catweave
just sunfire/moonfire + playing adaptive swarm and vigil right is most of your dps
id run circle instead of deep focus tho

Lifebloom build for M+ is still good… in fact, it’s kind of better than it was in SL since they smashed all the talents together in the tree. The build I run is basically like I’m both Night Fae and Necrolord. I have a lot of reservations about the new talent system and whether or not it achieved its stated goals, but the resto druid tree is mostly working. Well kind of, they made some recent changes that made it a bit more awkward, but it’s still decent.

I dunno how hard you wanna go, but you don’t need to cat weave. You don’t even need to play that side of the tree. I run with a melee heavy comp so I just do the balance side of the class tree and do caster damage, keeping hots/swarm up and throwing a few starfires out. Most of my damage comes from Convoke in a HotW window anyway.

Regardless, your overall damage compared to that of the rest of your team isn’t going to be massive, so even losing 5% of your damage isn’t something you’re going to notice. Unless you’re pushing the bleeding edge of keys, then maybe you’ll care.

Good luck!

I’ve been running germinate build since the start of season 1 and got to 2960 io with it. So there are options other than bloom.
