Hey guys,
Need some help with stat prio.
IcyVeins is a little different than WoWHead for stat priority…
As Resto, PvE what stats should I focus on? Is there a diminishing return point?
Sorry if it seems silly, I’m just lost at this point (1st time playing a healer class too)
Literally just highest ilvl!
At this point, just ilvl.
If both pieces of gear are the same item level Haste>Crit>Vers>Mastery. You want to try to reduce those cast times which is why it’s haste. Our mastery makes heals bigger when the target has less hp so that’s not something you want to rely on.
For raid at least it’s actually Crit > vers = haste > mastery
Haste’s main benefit is not reducing cast times, because it doesn’t matter how fast the cast is, you can only cast a certain number of spells before going oom. It’s real benefit is faster ticks on riptide and healing rain which are probably your two highest HPS abilities.
Mastery is something you can definitely rely on, it’s just not as good because raid groups in modern wow incorporate things like damage reduction cooldowns, healthstones and healthpots during periods of really high damage so you’re seeing less value from it. Mastery also get much worse after progression is over.
In mythic plus hast = vers > Crit = mastery because haste and vers are the only two stats that provide a boost to your damage as well as healing

Like the above posts said, currently it’s just highest ilvl as intellect by far outweighs any other stat.
Once you get high enough item level and wand to start optimizing your stats, crit is king for resto, especially in raid, with vers being a solid second stat. Haste is good for M+ but you don’t lose out on alot running crit/vers in there too.
