So typically I play resto sham in pvp as an alt, but I really enjoy the whole shooting meatball portion of that and decided [to try ele sham]. I got the right stats (only like 4 honor pieces left and I do have 4 pc), yet I don’t feel like I do any damage especially compared to some of my other pvp alts such as warrior, retribution, monk, etc. I feel like I’m doing it right keeping dots refreshed, lava burst and earth shock rotating to do dmg and get more procs, Rooting and peeling when I need to. But overall I just don’t feel like I’m capable of this spec. Am I missing something? For some reason out of the idk 5 elites I’ve gotten this past 2 weeks I thought I was decent at pvp then I try to pick up ele sham and just feel like a bit of a loser, only pumping out average damage.
Welcome, brother. I know the feels
I’m nothing special and in reality… Ele is tough. IMO I find it rewarding because you need to outplay to win. Without knowing your strats or positioning, my go typically looks like:
Skyfury > IF > Pwave > meatball > ES > meatballs > lasso.
Lasso can be interchanged to try and ensure kill and if you get silenced on IF then so be it.
If you can hide the skyfury somewhere, probably better because it’s telling of your burst and people will just smack it down asap.

Stack Verse and Haste, least amount of crit on your gear as possible.
Take Static Field Totem, Skyfury totem and Burrow for your PvP talents. Use Totemic Projection talent specially for Static field and Earthbind(grab) totem.
You can place the static field down and then use Totemic projection to shove whoever is trapped in the totem around a bit.
I found when a DH or a warrior starts their burst, Burrow, and when you come back up, use thunderstorm to launch them away, giving yourself some breathing room.
Tziganin with the elite rotation, nice suggestion!
