Heya All,
Ok here’s my dilemma and I’m getting huge mixed messages. I been pumping M+ like a mad man and confused on stat priorities, Icey-veins and Wowhead say Crit/Verse is king, but literally everyone in-game (trade chat) are telling me it’s Haste > Crit = Verse…
My main content so far is M+, but I do eventually want to try Raiding, I’m only ilvl 230.
Any help on stats?, I don’t want to be pushing super hard content, my goals are just KSM and AotC. Any guidance is much…much appreciated.
Go Critical and Versatility.
Haste is gonna be better when you have higer ilvl and you can spare some points there. Haste as a stat doesnt help your healing that much, it’s better to help with damage but the difference wont be that much big of a deal.
When I go Heal or when I used to during season 1 and the first 2-3 weeks of season 2, got so much Critical that I never had to stop to drink mana due to Resurgence, used just a few casts to heal my party so I had overall more time to do damage and the party lost no time waiting for my mana.

crit and vers are your primary choices. haste is more a personal taste thing. i’m at 16% now which feels pretty decent even if i don’t take the haste power. some people want as much as they can get, some people are good with 10%.

Well I’m currently 28% Crit, 11% Verse and 6% Haste, but I got Haste enchants on Rings and one Ring has a Haste Gem.
Not even close to 10%, I’m ilvl 230…
So this still should be ok? Should I change the gem and enchants to crit?.
there’s no magic percentage. if you’re going for aotc and also raiding, you should be fine.

You have way too much Critical. At that point you will be better with more Versatility, since the seasonal affix is gonna give you a lot of critical and Healing Surge + Tidal Waves gives another critical bonus.
Still 6% Haste seems a little low. I have around 10-11% and it feels good.
Currently I’m at Crit 20%, Haste 13%, Mastery 41% and Vers 20% and it feels good. I havent healed that much this season but last season with less stats it felt nice too.
I dont do raids as Healer, so my advice is for Mythic+ primarily.
I just picked my Sham back up this week since s1 to heal keys. I’m not at anything high just getting to 10’s but I like:
Ilvl>Haste=Vers>Crit>Mastery.
Really truly thought ilvl is all that matters everything else is really just personal taste.
Woh! Just read this part. That’s some overkill on crit.
If it works do it up but you could likely spread out a bit more.
I currently don’t use addons, but I’ve been told they help but I’m not sure which ones are good, everyone suggests different ones!.
But I’m sorry if my question got under your skin, in all my WoW life I’ve never played healers, this is completely uncharted territory for me, I just thought wow needs more tanks and healers…

Well you will want crit and mastery. If you absolutely need to know. That or find a better tank. I have not healed a mythic as resto since bfa and that was only 7 or 8s. Good job not using addons if true. Also get mouseover macros if you don’t already have

I hit KSM on July 15th and at 2.3io where I mostly PUG; my lowest scores are two timed 18s.
KSM can be achieved with almost any combination of stats, b/c decent groups around 236ilvl should not have any issues. That said - Mastery is borderline useless and I avoid it at all costs, b/c it’s conditionally useful. Whereas the other stats are ALWAYS beneficial, and Haste isn’t that important until pushing 18+.
Addons aren’t a requirement, BUT, at minimum, use the in-game Raid frames to monitor HP & debuffs. Chain Heal is useless - don’t use it.

I do use mouse over macros, I posted a week or so ago here and someone let me know how to do them, I’m getting better I hit ilvl 232 just then
.
I been spamming mists for changling trinket and ToP for the haste/verse dagger but no luck…
I’ve changed my stats with you guys info, crit - 26%, haste - 10%, mastery - 50% and verse - 14%.
Basically I’m going for Crit/Haste and Verse/Haste gear from now on, with a few crit/verse gear.
I never cast chain heal, usually when I do it’s because of a misclick

Intellect is most important, for healing the rest don’t really matter just get a decent balance.
For damage, which is important for m+, you generally want haste/vers (crit/haste if using deeptremor) since mastery doesn’t help your damage at all

So sad our most iconic heal is so dog that it’s never even worth casting.

This is spot on. Don’t need to worry about haste until higher keys. Most shams that are pushing high keys run Kyrian with lots of haste for more damage.

I don’t use any healing specific addon and I do consider myself an exceptionally above average to epically savage healer.
Mainly just mouseover for everything. And harm/help macros are nice.
I def use qol things like tidy plates and I couldn’t live without Sctnameplates because I really like the fact that it shows your damage numbers above the mobs but it’s coordinated to the color of damage type(purple for shadow damage, red for fire, etc)
Mainly mouseover are important.
As long as you can see your party debuffs to Dispell and enemy buffs to Dispell your golden.
And mouseovers.
If you have any healer questions hmu. I’ve been a healer main since BC. I’m more M+ fluent than raid tho.
And mouseovers.

About addons, use Vudho.
Save yourself of all the trouble to create macros and unnecesarily complex keybinds to throw the most simple of the heals.
In your mouse + 2 keys you will have enough shortcuts to use any healing ability and it will also show when someone has a debuff that your class can dispel.
Watch a short tutorial and you will catch it in no time.

I think that Chain Heal is great.
I use the Jonat’s Legendary and after a few single target heals and the High Tide buff a single Chain Heal can make for 50% of 4 party members health.
I used it a lot during Prideful when the stacks got nasty and it was no problem for the Chains. Now in season 2 during Arkolath and Varruth (or is it Varruk?) same thing, specially with that nasty reduced heal and ticks for fire damage party-wide. Same for Grievous, Bursting and Storming.
I enjoy it a lot, even when my most used heal is Healing Surge, Chain Heal saves a lot when buffed.
I have… 30% crit. About 10-12% haste and a whopping 25% verse. I like have a high amount of verse! Makes blood link do so much damage!! Also… I only have like 99 mastery haha.

No point in gearing/gemming for haste because you get plenty from the haste anima power and from hammer of genesis. You want to go for crit/vers for more damage/survivability
