So mana tide (the 31 point resto talent) only ticks 3x instead of the 4x it’s supposed to, mana spring also misses tick as well.
Don’t worry though, I’m sure blessing of wisdom works perfectly fine.

A bit passive aggressive huh?
Sounds like you’re a little… ticked off
If you can reproduce this reliably (I haven’t tested it and don’t know if it’s true), post it in the Classic Bug Report forum, not here.
And post it with reproduction steps and without the sarcasm. BoW is better anyway even if our stuff was working right.
I tested it 5x, 3 ticks every time. And I did post it in the bug forums, just posting it here for awareness.
And yes blessing of wisdom that one (1) paladin can put on the entire forty (40) man raid is already better than the resto shaman 31 point talent that only affects up to five (5) PARTY members.
Consolation is (or at least supposed to) be we got stronger totems. Windfury Totem is an example off the top of my head. Grounding totem, tremor totem, cleansing totems, etc.
There is no consolation, paladins are blatantly better. It’s not even a question.
There’s a reason PVE servers are 75% Alliance. (Dwarf priest and Human racial contribute to this as well)
Mana Tide giving 870 mana over 3 ticks instead of 1160 over 4 ticks is kinda not cool tho.
Eh, pallies have better defensive utilities and buffs, shamans have better offensive utilities and buffs.
A paladin could just as easily make a post about why shamans get a ranged interrupt where paladins dont even get any. Why do shamans get a ranged slow And a slow totem and paladins dont have any slow. Why is windfury so much better than SoC.
The easy answer is because both classes have their strengths and thats what makes them unique. If you want everything another class has, retail has done a great job at that.
f’n brutal
In terms of raiding, paladins are unquestionably better at least until Naxx gear, when Windfury Totem becomes single-handedly better than every blessing other than Salvation.
Fortunately, raiding is only a tiny fraction of the overall game.
You’re my hero.
I dont think this is true at all…
pallies in raids are healers, and if it was not for Blessings, I doubt they would be wanted for even that role…they have no group heal at all. I would much rather have/play a shaman…jmho
Welcome to vanilla. Maybe it’s not the game for you?
This post reeks of retail baby crying.
Acting like windfury, tremor totems, poison cleansing totems, ranged interrupts on a 6s cooldown, frost shock (the most OP spell in classic), etc. don’t make shamans better in some situations.
It’s almost like different classes are good at different things. PvE servers may be 75% alliance, but it’s the opposite on PvP servers for a reason. Horde is pretty much easy mode for everything outside of instanced content.
Paladins are the best single-target healers in the game and have the best buffs in the game.
Obviously, I’d rather play a shaman (my classic character is the same name, race, and class as this character), because they’re way more fun and have more interesting things to do. But the stats don’t lie; paladins are better in raids, and it’s very noticeable in terms of progression.
Very much agreed. Both classes have their strengths. Im sure there are plenty of Alliance melee DPS who wish their group’s paladin could throw down a Windfury totem.
About 20% of the time, Evocation only gives me 3 ticks instead of 4. Kind of a large chunk of mana to be missing.
