I’m finding my self going oom when i know im doing every thing right. im not new to shaman and i have taken all the mana talents from both trees and im still going oom before other healers in pvp. hoping this gets looks at

I think it’s a totemic problem.
I’ve found Totemic to be far more mana intensive. I think lowering the mana cost of surging totem would help a lot, it is a huge dump in mana and although it maintains healing rain for 2+ uptimes, its astronomical cost makes it difficult to be much more of anything except for dropping totems and twiddling your thumbs.
Farseer allows for way for wiggle room to play and experiment with talents, to feel like you’re able to cast mana different spells. While I love the idea of totemic it is difficult to manage your mana and you aren’t just incentivized to constantly drop surging totem its just flat required to do so.
On the plus side, our 4pc is a direct buff to our mana, so it may help this issue a bit.
There’s a PvP talent that makes healing rain cost less and some other stuff. Not sure if you got that.
If you’re talking about shuffle, yeah you’ll probably oom before them, but it’ll be so far into dampening at that point it’s not a huge loss.
I remember when resto shamans selling point was that it never could go oom, now even with water shield we have the lowest mana returns in the game.

I am running farseer and not seeing any issues with mana. In solo shuffle, disc, druid, holy priest and pally have all oom before me. When the fight lasts that long that is…

so I tried out farseer and I found a way to not go OOM. Totemic i go oom fast. but there is a bigger problem. HPS output in pvp is awful. Ascendance feels like it does nothing as well
Use the haste increase talent for Ascendance. Feels better than the cooldown reduction. Pair that with spiritwalkers grace immunity and you can pop out some heals

It was a big problem last season as well and why I’m not maining resto shaman this season. Nothing was done to address the MP issues, and currently other heals are significantly better. Very sad about the state of resto after maining for so long.
