Sometimes you might have to apply it 2-3 times to get it to stick. Sometimes it doesn’t remove itself, but most of the time, it auto dispels itself for no apparent reason.

Can confirm. Adds a level of stress and unpredictability that shouldn’t be there.
Still happening, you might need to re-apply the shield numerous times to get it to work / stick.
I think a lot of people are not aware of this bug, making it so they never have ES up lol
I thought tanks were clicking it off. But then I noticed it also happened in follower dungeons. Something funny is going on.
No, because your own will fall off too.
I’ve only had it happen a few times (and I think all of them in Workshop) so far this season, but between that and needing to arbitrarily rebuff Skyfury which also likes to randomly remove itself from party members when zoning, relogging, or just for funsies, the frustration level is high.

I never had that happen because I didn’t take the talent that lets me apply 2 shields to myself. There were several times I wanted to yell at tanks (but didn’t, I just yelled to myself): “ARGH, WILL YOU QUIT CLICKING OFF EARTH SHIELD?”. But then I noticed it happen in a follower dungeon earlier today and figured ok maybe there is something up. Then I saw this thread.
Well hopefully anyone who is running as resto in keys is tracking when ES is up one way or another, regardless of this bug. That’s kinda an important thing to know as healer!
I suspect a similar situation though with Skyfury, since it also removes itself over every little thing (when other class buffs persist); unless someone was specifically tracking, I don’t think people realise how often it vanishes from themselves or other party members. I’ve only even seen one thread on it here, but I had to start tracking it on my raid frames – something I normally don’t for set-and-forget buffs – just because it was such a frequent problem.
Ah okay. Well, if you do have the talent, both of yours will disappear together, which makes it really obvious. And since it does it right at the start, no one is getting hit yet. It’s just really obnoxious to put it all up and then poof, time to repeat.
Can we get this Fixed? Its honestly a big nerf in PVP
Even in dps spec earth shield is dropping off myself (along with skyfury). It’s super fun. O_o
