People in the resto shaman discord are very rude to noobs/players who don’t know as much as they do.
I’m not going into details because I don’t want to single anyone out but the resto shaman discord community is very unfriendly. While they will help you out and tell you what you need to know they will also berate you and make fun of you if you suggest something that they disagree with.
I recommend you take everything they say with a big grain of salt because they do not like anyone who disagrees with their “data” even though lots of things right now are still new (embellishments, talents, and so on).
I have found it to be a great place of information.
The only time I have seen any “berating” is when a new person joins, suggests things that go against the norm, has absolutely nothing to back it up besides “feelings” and gets annoyed when people throw numbers at them.
Its interesting how you say they will tell you what you need to know, but also say not to trust them.
While embellishments, talents, and so on are “new”…they are based on numbers. Numbers can be figured out out. So if you suggest something against the norm, you better have a very detailed reason as to why. Because people have spent a looooong time doing the math and doing high end theorycrafting.
Edit: So I scrolled up. You argued on behalf of something for like 20 mins without even understanding how it worked. Because your words “I dont research items”. The discord is a theorycrafting based channel. Where a lot of people research things. It wasnt until after 20 mins of you arguing in favor for something, then saying you didnt know how it works because you dont read/research things that people started to get a bit snarky.

I’ve had 0 issues with them as a new resto shaman. I ask about things, I get an answer, I expand on their answer with clarification as needed and doing my own research

Ive been reading it since jist before dragonflight. Its fine. They just expect that you have read the guides before asking. Lots of very knowledgeable folks there and i think they dont want to repeat themselves constantly. Most of the dicussions are genuine and fair.
