Resto sham are really in need of riptide and a better range on chain heal bounce. hard casting everything make it really boring and impossible to play in pvp, not only that in pve we are only “meh”. (preist just get everything instant and dominate everything)
Riptide would give us a instant spell that would help both in pvp and pve and a buff to chain heal bounce would make it so that it not just heal one dude because he was 0.5 yard away for it to chain.
This is 100% needed or resto sham will just give up the spec and go ele/enh. This will further increase the shortage of heals that sod is experiencing. “yay”
They could replace the worthless heal boots rune for riptide
Yup and if they fear that it would be to op for other spec like ele or enh just make it that it replace mana tide totem because it not really good anyway,
Ehhh it’d put riptide in the hands of ele easily. It needs to be somewhere competitive like waist so they’re weighing it up with power surge/maelstrom weapon
they could link it to mana tide totem. menaing they would need 30 in resto
Sure they can use it but keep in mind shaman only has 1 bad spec, Don’t need all 3 to be strong while some classes only have 1 good spec
Still would help on the heal shortage because let be honest it getting lower and lower. (other than preist all other heal are basicaly punished by playing them)
Yeah that’s true, they should just buff every healer to priest and druid lvl. Down side is that will make the game just like retail where no healers needs to cast.
not to that point but some class are really getting the stick without any carrot. they need to make it at least fun if they are not op if they want the playerbase to keep playing them
Indeed playing healer is most of the time punishing atm. They can’t farm in the open world because we don’t have dual spec, if they gear into healing power they are even more punished and in the event like stv they don’t get blood most of the time because they need to tag the target before they die.
The worst is in pvp, in the current high damage meta they get obliterated in a few sec if they are not preist.
That one of the reason that we are seeing less and less healer, all damage spec outshine heals by many time while making it a lot lot more practical.
Most heals get the stick.

If they are giving baseline things like Shadowfiend and reduce mana cost to Shadow sure give baseline riptide to Shaman!
sure it doesn’t make sense but 0 balance in this season makes sense!
if only chain heal was not as bad as it is with the chain on it. it literally 50/50 and become worthless if the group is just a tiny tiny bit spread 10yards.
Even if it was hitting all the targets each cast you would still not reach preist hps. They are literally x2 of sham and most other healers. (Not for nothing that most raid heal comp are like Preist and whatever emotional support other healing class lol.)

If they dont make a move soon they will end up with no healers willing to heal because they went dps exept preist once each 3 day.
Yeah p1 already wasn’t exactly great for non-priest healers then p2 is a straight up f u to healers
Rsham always feel weird without riptide & tidal waves, ive always felt that way patch 3.0 and onward. Id bet we will get riptide by final phase… the devs know its a core part of the rsham toolkit.
