Good day fellow druids,
I seek your help in order to get some tips on how to heal in raiding group.
I was advised to put 5 randoms rej up and to spam regrowth + life bloom on tanks…
But looking at my parse I am in green and usually lowest in healing done…
Any helpful tips please? I’d appreciate!

Lol are you just literally putting rejuvs out even when dmg won’t be going out?
I’m sorry I’m new to resto Druid… can you suggest me something to improve instead of laughing at me?

Whether new or not you should make the connection that wasting mana doing 0 heals is stupid. Go watch videos on every boss so you know what the damage patterns are so you know when you need to use rejuvenation. Post your druid if you actually want meaningful help.

As for advice…
I don’t raid anymore. I mainly stick to m+ and random Shenanigans, so I’ll leave this one to someone else.
What I can say is this… find out when the big damage is coming out. Pop tranquility, wild growth, lifebloom and a couple of rejuvenates untill the tranquility hot is about to expire and Then pop flourish! Do this on repeat and you’ll win.
Raid healing is boring AF.

Good luck with your question. I dont raid much, and I when I play resto it’s usually in casual BGs.
Tical is one of the regulars here that is usually wose to listen to. I dunno if Grizz or Flapz play resto, but those dudes are good to ask about the other specs for sure.

Basically what you want is to drop Efflorescence either at the Tank’s feet alongside other Melee DPS, or at your own feet together with the other Ranged characters.
Wild Growth should be used pretty much on cooldown, while you pay attention to the boss’ cooldowns and blanket raid members with Rejuvenations and Regrowths. Lifebloom should be kept on the tank all the time.
Make sure to cast Ironbark and/or Cenarion’s Ward at the tank when they’re taking heavy damage, and try to save Swiftmends when one of the HoTs are about to expire to avoid clipping its healing.
Restoration Druids have different builds wether they’re doing dungeons or raids, so maybe it would be a good idea to review your build and see if you’re picking any of the key talents for raids (i.e. Soul of the Forest / Incarnation: Tree of Life and Flourish).
Castle Nathria is a bit overtuned, so fights are very demanding on healing, and Resto Druids sadly are a bit on the lower spectrum on this expansion for now; their weaker healing output compared to Priests and Shamans and lack of utility outside of Rebirth makes them a bit tricky to use.

One issue that often plagues a resto druid in raids is that our hots get over shadowed by other healers toppin up people with their direct heals.
You might have already placed your hots on a player, and they would have been healed back to full over the duration of the hot. Problem is, another healer will come in after. Spot heal that players to full, and now your hots are overhealing.
This will reflect poorly on the logs, and inexperienced players will view this as poor effort on the druid, when in reality, they did exactly as they were supposed to do.
One remedy to this is healing assignments. You assign each healer to a specific task, and nothing else. You heal your assigned targets and that’s it. Everyone is at full? Time to dps. Leave the other targets alone unless called upon.
Another remedy is something that only comes naturally with guild runs or experienced players. Group synergy. A level of trust and mutual understanding of each healers strengths and weaknesses. You will never find this in a pug. Some guilds even struggle with it too.
And this is why…
You’ll always see meter heros bragging about their healing done. It’s meaningless. As long as you’re doing your assigned task, and nobody dies, that’s all that matters. Healing meters are only useful to determine if your raid needs to add or remove a healer, or delegate different healing assignments. They are not a means to measure who did better. Anyone who does so is a fool.

your priorities will vary with encounter type, lego choice, and talent choices.
but heres what i do for blue parses.
lifebloom always on the current active tank
rejuv always on the current active tank
rejuv on the non active tank if the fight causes them to take damage without active aggo.
effloresence on the ground at all times where at least 3 people stand. better if more.
if the tank is below 80% ish health, keep regrowth hot on the tank. otherwise cast it on clearcasting proc.
from there i generally have a random 2-3 rejuvs on party members mostly if i need a swiftmend proc (i run soul of the forest)
and almost always cast wildgrowth on cooldown as long as there are people not at full. the current fights have tons of unavoidable group damage.
From there i manage my large cooldowns quite aggressively. i self innervate myself at 70% mana, and spam rejuvs for most mana gain.
i use convoke and tranquility very early assuming there is group damage, so that i can use them again at the later phase of the fights.
Holding cooldowns for oh crap moments is often a mistake. You should basically know when you will pop a cooldown for every fight.
