How do you guys heal with this spec there just WAY too many keybinds with most talents not being passives. I use 1-4, q,e,r,t,f,g,v,z with shift and alt mods for those and I still run out of keybinds. What gives?
Using a healing addon will help. You can double up your keybinds, assign one to when you’re moused over a friendly unit frame and one for when you’re not.
edit just to mention I use Vuhdo.
Dont forget x, capslock, ~, F1-F4, 5, 6, all of your mouse buttons (including mouse wheel) and alt/shift mods for all those too. That should give you a little extra.
Use help/harm macros.
Use macros that change keybind based on talent selected.
Don’t bind things that don’t need to be bound (Bloodlust can be clicked, you don’t need primal strike or lightning shield on your bars, consumables other than hearthstone/health pot macro don’t need to be bound).
Shaman do have a ton of abilities. Not denying that. But it’s been manageable for me with essentially the same key bonds.
I personally don’t like harm/help macros. I prefer one spell - one keybind.
Maybe my setup will give you some ideas.
1: surge
2: healing wave
3: chain heal
4: premedical wave
5: unleash life (if talented)
Ctrl 1-4: all dps spells.
R: rip tide
Ctrl R: wind rush totem (if talented)
F: healing rain
Ctrl F: spirit link totem
Q: cloudburst totem
Ctrl Q: healing stream totem
E: earth shield
Ctrl E: earthen totem or earth bind totem
Ctrl space: mouse over wind sear
Alt space: mouse over purge
Mouse button 4: racial
Mouse button 5: spirit walkers grace
V: personal damage reduction
Ctrl V: mana tide to totem
Ctrl C: mana pot
Ctrl B: mana shield
Druid has more .
And the problem is…??
I thought you guys only pressed Riptide lol
Druid does not have more…
#someone who has played Druid since wrath)
Of course… that’s only because of form changes. (Same key bindings, different spells)
This is great advice for someone who wants to do 1k hps and get immediately group kicked.
I agree nerf shaman.
I played druid in vanilla. Druid has more buttons rn than resto if u use the full kit. Btw I use earthgrab, wind rush, unleash et cetera. Why would u not count form spells esp if ur in moonkin or cat form, u still gotta use them and wild charge.
Are you counting spells from every spec or just one? Because my blanace/guard druid has way more free space on the hotbar compared to my ele.
Because you change forms and get a new bar.
Druid really doesnt have more keybinds than a shaman. Shape shifting really doesnt count because the whole secondary bar you get that frees up all your keybinds. I have like 30 keybinds
I have a couple new shaman friends, and they struggle with finding places to put talent spells and take some passive abilities, just because they dont have space to put all the shaman abilities, because its more keybinds than they usually need on their other characters.
I use 1 through 0, - and =, R F A D Z X C, shift modifiers, alt modifiers, ctrl modifiers etc. Every character aside from demon hunter (blizzard really has done nothing to make them compelling to play) uses at ton of binds and bars.
I quit, came back and it feels so packed, I spend so much time watching my bars it makes me feel like a bad player.
Good god thank you for the simple solution I had totally forgotten about. For real.
As others have said, healing addon.
My totems are bound, lust etc. everything else is on HealBot. Riptide, Healing Surge, Chain Heal etc etc.
I started with HealBot wayyyyy back in 2008 but there are others such as Grid. Take a look at em’
Uh, I’m pretty sure not. I play sham/druid/monk at 60 right now and druid/monk are … a breath of fresh air as they have less abilities to manage and easier (for me at least) to play them.
Laughs in XIV PLD/SMN keybinds.
33, thats how many my PLD has in XIV.
Get an MMO mouse with 12 buttons. Easy 36 hotkeys with CTRL/ALT/SHIFT modifiers.
