To be blunt, Resto shaman feels very bad. I understand the implementation and need for class changes and pruning but this round of changes has left Resto shaman in a position that makes it feel incredibly disengaging and not fun to play.
I only play PVP (blitz, shuffle, 3’s) I just want to share my perspective as a Resto shaman enjoyer on the things that are confusing and what I feel is currently making the spec feel lackluster. I just want to speak this feedback into the void to help circulate some positive change for our beloved healing spec hopefully before next week.
-As a class/spec that needed pruned, Resto feels like it was too much and in the wrong ways.
-There is a lack of utility with the use of totems, a core mechanic to the play of Shaman. My thoughts being why Earthen Wall was removed, a damage reduction utility, but Tremor and Poison Cleansing condensed to a single node? Also, why is Poison Cleansing a 2 minute CD? If anything, make poison dispel a part of Improved Purify Spirit and let Earthen Wall be at the very least a choice node with Tremor Totem.
-If we have to choose between Ascendance and Healing Tide I would love to see support nodes that include Healing Tide totem (cd reduction, damage reduction, extra healing, anything) The apex talents are a great example for this.
-Resto shaman has to be more than a spec built around either healing rain or healing wave/ chain heal. This includes the implementation of more choice totem utility. Totemic Wrath? Earthen Wall? Counter Strike? Totemic Recall was also a great ability that plays into this.
-Im reluctantly OK with lasso being a PVP talent
-Pruning for the sake of pruning without context feels bad. I believe it’s OK that a spec has a lot of buttons, or is more difficult to pilot if it isn’t redundant or not useful.
-Please give us thunderstorm back

I’m so glad I cancelled my subscription, uninstalled everything and moved on. It looks like nothing is being done

All i want is thunderstorm back and the ability to cast it on party member again. Eathen can be gone, last ssn it was already useless.

Poison Cleansing is 2 minutes because in TWW everyone complained that it was too good in mythic+ so it got the mass dispel treatment.
Totemic feels awful to play. There is 0 reason to play it over farseer currently. I am still trying to make it work with storm conduit, but it just feels bad.
Thunderstorm def needs to come back. Thunderstorm into a root is fun gameplay. Knocking off of ledges has been a shaman staple forever.
Right now we dont have throughput or utility.
I cancelled my sub already and I hope others do the same. Needing to wait nearly a month for any tuning to occur is a middle finger to the player base. “Thanks for your money! :)”
They literally rushed this xpac to keep the shareholders happy. It is usually a 2 year cycle in between xpacs but now will be 18 months to make the sweet sweet profit so the CEO can get another bonus. Stop giving them money. Let the game die.

I specifically mained Pres Evoker last season and cleared all 17s before prepatch and had a top 5 parse US for mythic dimensius. I just started playing Resto Shaman for the first time today. I already knew it was an extremely easy healer to play prior to the pruning but after playing it now for only one dungeon, I can see why no one wants to play it. It is boring and has absolutely zero skill expression. If any new player wants to heal, just play resto shaman. Honestly all healers are a joke now but Resto Shaman is actually zero skill.
I played a lot of elemental shaman in m+ last season as well and resto shaman feels more like an elemental shaman that off heals than an actual healer.
