As was demonstrated with the AWC currently they outclass every other healer. Was extremely boring seeing r druid team vs r druid team as the only viable option. I’m not experienced enough to suggest a good solution but something has to be done to druids to knock them down to make the other heals a solid choice as it stands druid is the best for pretty much every comp

It’s no different to seeing a disc or resto shaman every game. If monks weren’t nerfed you’d see a million of them as well.
Maybe if blizzard implemented dampening based on ratings since it seems the only people who are effected by the long games are the top of the ladder. Healers should be able to compete with other healers.
How about they just bring up the other healers instead of nerfing. Getting old people crying about a healer that is good than the nerf bat comes and guess what more healers are lost. Personally I don’t mind long matches. That is subjective.
Lower rated players trying to learn how to heal just get trained wrecked at fast paced games when healers are gimped or over the top skill capped.

Every game worth a crap is balanced around the top. Your solution after today’s arena tourney fiasco is to buff healers to rdruid levels? Who gives a crap if some 1400 healer who has no idea what to do gets steamrolled. 1400 healers will still be 1400 and 3k healers will be 3k if damage is buffed.
What would this change? Your saying only the top of the ladder experience this dampening… how does removing it from low ratings change anything?? You arent unable to compete with other healers based on damp ur struggling cause balance and/or learning the spec (didnt armory you nfi what rating you are dont take offense). This is only if what ur saying is true which I doubt.

They should just give rdruid clone baseline already so they can tune them around running 3 healing honor talents. if that makes sense. I mean if rdruids knew they could run 3x healing honor talents or maybe thorns wouldn’t their baseline healing be ok being lowered while also giving them utility? idk if that makes sense but ye
Honestly one of the things that made blizzcon fun to watch this year (even with gross imbalances) was that like every healer seemed super viable, i remember seeing a fair amount of holy pallys, resto shammys, MWs, and even some resto druids.
I think we saw just about every healer but holy priest. Was much better to watch than end of legion where every team just either a resto druid or resto shammy. Was extreemly rare to see a holy pally, and you only saw a disc priest in rmp during end of legion tourneys.

Can buff healers to rdruid levels if other dps all get buffed. It should never require 50+% dampening for a kill to happen…
Hell dampening comps in MoP never got to dampening levels like that. The games today were miserable and the games pacing is just too slow.
I want every single spec to be viable. That’s what made this game fun. When every spec was viable I was always excited to fight new comps and learn how to fight it. Now I’m like oh rmx I’m either gonna die or I’m gonna live in the opener. TSG is just press damage buttons until someone dies because you can’t be kited. Comps are either cc if the healer trinkets anything early and then the healer is dead because it’s 20+ seconds of cc, or people are dying in 4 second stuns. Or we get into 50%+ dampening and people die because gpyro and lightning lasso do flat health % and require no skill to cast.

no body with a shred of logic can watch these fire assa, frost/ele games and say destro is the real problem with the game
its absolutely not fun to fight against druids in arenas.
I won’t touch your remark about healer diversity too much. Not playing with a Rsham after the 8.0.1 Rdruid nerfs was pretty much borderline trolling if the enemy team was playing with one. The core reason behind why Rdruid and Rsham dominate the tournament metas is because they’re generally just better defensive healers. Rsham has Wind Shear and Grounding Totem which can both help apply pressure during a go OR help to stop or relieve pressure. Rdruid bring bash and cyclone which can both help apply and relieve pressure as well as virtual root and polymorph immunity (when played by good druids). Also, they tend to have the best mana to healing output ratio for as long as I can remember. Both classes are just disruptive by nature. So they nullify a lot of the offensive pressure by just existing. These tournaments really seem to center around playing flawlessly defensively while waiting for the enemy team to make a mistake. One of the games today featured Metaphors losing a game by eating a half hibernate in cat form that Maldiva died in. Or how about the games where the mage for coco milk or whatever team had their mage Jahmilli block to be offensive. Defensive play is key in a world where people just don’t do enough sustain damage. Who gives a crap if I have to run from you its not like mana matters to my _______(insert the meta healers). The only healer right now that consistently loses on mana pre-dampening is Discipline Priest. Don’t want to watch games go into dampening? Buff sustain damage. Make it worthwhile for teams to engage each other outside of big CD windows. I’m overly tired of watching people just run away for five minutes and still have their healer above 75% mana. Discipline priest is the only healer that seems to be punished for running because of how inefficient their healing tends to be. BUFF sustained damage by like 15% and games will be so much shorter. It’ll incentivize teams to engage each other because the healers are on mana timers. The game is overly scripted right now. Anyone who plays at a decent level can tell you that. Every tournament in the last year has had major snooze dampening issues. The pre-blizzcon tournament had like 72% dampening games because of Rshams/Tank trinket, the one before that was averaging 30-35% dampening. It’s getting hard to take the tournament games seriously with dampening being the only influencer on behavior.
