Hello I’m looking for recommendations on guides for Resto druids as I’ve been missing healing and want to get back into it and like the look of druid.
Restoration druid in moonkin form for pve questing and damage doesn’t use that annoying eclipse system does it? I really hate that on balance druid. Just wondering as I’m not sure.
Any other tips would be appreciated. I’m probably going to take engineering and Jewelcrafting as my professions. (I prefer crafting not farming, I just buy 1million gold of wow tokens weekly for mats instead of farming)

Are you a returning player? Go Ally. We need all the help we can get. Not really joking there. The good, the bad and the ugly. Anything helps. KT D are cool. In PvP I like them more than a little. R druids seem better now than before. Maybe take it slow if you need to catch up on them…like as in, not a great idea to hop into a difficult dungeon right off the bat on a resto if you are returning to the class. T&E is your best teacher.
And OP can just use YT vids. Lots to choose from.

I have not done resto druid in a long time in retail and never in Classic. Only do R sham. Know next to nothing about R druids.
I mean Resto sham is arguably better in what you’re after. Especially with the ability to talent into the lightning charge.
No. Eclipse is actually the first talent in the Balance talent tree. Since you don’t have that talent tree in Resto spec, you don’t have to deal with it. Your damage rotation in Moonkin form will be incredibly straightforward, DoT them up, then spam Starsurge on cooldown and fill with Wrath.
Though depending on the build you might be doing damage in Cat Form. I’m not sure how the two damage methods stack up against each other right now since I don’t heal very often.

. So far it’s everything I hoped for. I’m normally a warlock main so my dps being dots is a nice and welcomed familiarity as I make the switch over to druid.
