I think the way in which blizzard is going about healer nerfs is too generalized.
If Resto Druid is too OP in M+, then nerf within the context of 5 mans/M+. We are already a “low tier” Raid Healer, so negatively impacting our raid healing is too much of a nerf imho. Nerf within the context in which the healer is too OP.
Therefore, it would make sense to nerk H Paladin & Disc Priest within the context of Raids; not to nerf them within the context of M+.
This mastery nerf also does not address the core issues of this expac, in which H Paladin and Disc Priest has ‘passive DPS’ which has resulted in the current meta. Perhaps offering a way for all of the other healers to contribute ‘passive dps’ would address this issue.
Additionally, it would be really nice to have ALL healers have some form of absorption; not just Resto Shaman, Disc Priest, & H Pal. I personally would talent into that if offered.
Another issue that has impacted this healer meta is mobility. I would REALLY like to cast tranquility on the move!
Blizzard needs to make smart adjustments/‘nerfs’ within the context in which the adjustment needs to occur. It would be refreshing to see them move away from the global (across context) nerfs & buffs that they do almost every patch to address contextual issues.
