Resto druid help in 2s

Greetings my professional pvpers, me and friend are having fun in 2s, but atlas he have no bloody idea how to play resto druid. As a fury warrior i try to peel for him with the permanent slow, stormbolt and fear, but he still having problems, sometime when i get focus, his heals don't feel impactful, so i kite a lot. Idk what i could do more for him 8(.

Since hes a shy boy, I'm asking help for him, so we can maybe do a honorable push and stop being plebs. If some noble souls could offer us a lovely stupid proof resto guide, you will have our deepest of gratitudes. Also any tips on how to play our comp would be nice too 8)

Thank you and have a good day.
He has two options.

1. Try to get some yolo cyclones out to reduce pressure and line up your CC to get kills.

2. Don't play clone and take extra healing talent to attempt to dampen a win by doing LOL fury damage while staying 40 yards apart.

I would suggest option 2 as trying to get clones off is risky bidness and very likely to end up with him getting cc'd because of the 20 yard range or just swapped to and dead.

Hmm alright, do you think using thorn and cyclone is too much?
I've been trying to learn a bit of resto as well and I'm playing with a warrior. I've never played a healer and let me tell you, after years of tanking and dps and always doing pvp as a DPS learning to heal is ROUGH in a pvp setting.

I've noticed though that on a druid you have to be extremely proactive. It's not really a reactive spec, just to get all your hots/stacks on your target it's like 5 globals. If your hots fall off and they decide to burst it's super hard to recover, from my experience this makes target swapping tough on me.

I feel like it's difficult but I'm learning. Idek if I've got the right spec, I'm just winging it man. Best of luck to your friend.

It's 2s and not his fault. I made a post just last night. Dampening is way to high in 2s and there is so little room for mistakes, even at low ratings. A single kick and stun is enough to drop some healers, even with defensive cooldowns.

Not that he can't improve, but it's an uphill battle right now and games are so short that it's hard to learn. You fall behind in heals so quickly.

Just want to point out that clones cost a lot of mana these days compared to the past. Cloning 2s, while still necessary at times, has to be weighted against mana use. Less of an issue in 3s.

Yeah i know about dampening, but it shouldn't be a big problem for the first 2 min of the game.

They do have a lot of tools.
Just que 10,000+ games
As a Fury, your strength is in dps somebody down, if you spend most of your time peeling for your healer you both are playing it wrong.

Resto druids have many tools to avoid dmg and, although their healing is currently !@#$ty, any resto druid should be able to survive for a good 3-5 minutes in a 2's match. That should be more than enough time for a Fury warrior kill somebody.
