So weak that people are dying with full hots and ironbark while I’m spamming regrowth in tree form.
ye it’s pretty awful, only seen it work at real MMR as demo MLD and splay
Your pretty much only topping people with swiftmend->regrowth to proc SotF. Spamming regrowth will just make you go oom. Weaving your trees inbetween hots helps a lot, and don’t let lifebloom fall off since it gives you 3x mastery stacks. It also seems like we have to clone extremely liberally if not playing with a lock/spriest, like basically spamming it every DR on the DPS not being focused to not fall behind (pushing in for clones on heals is like a coinflip, if you get caught and cc’d yourself, it’s basically gg, but can also win games)
I actually don’t think healing throughput is the issue with rdruid rn, but do think regrowth healing should be nerfed and hots buffed, so you’re punished for letting them fall off, but actually have some free globals outside of just spamming healing
In shuffle with limited communication, there’s situations @25%~ dampening or so where if you overlap cd’s with your team’s defensive cd’s, they’re basically guaranteed to die and you can’t really catch up.
Did a pres evoker write this?
Lol, no, rdruid main for like a decade+ in retail WoW. Rdruids are more than capable of pumping out 700k+ HPS over the course of an entire 3s match, which is right in line if not more than the majority of healers. But I just think forcing druids into a playstyle where you have to rely on procced 3-4mil regrowths is bad design, and antithetical to the entire rdruid class fantasy/ideal playstyle (HoT-based healer). I also think poor mana efficiency was another major problem (kind of addressed with the mp5 buff - it’s definitely better, but we still go oom quicker than almost every other healing spec)
I imagine you’re conveniently ignoring the “-and buff hots” part of my post as well? The overall HPS throughput isn’t the problem, it’s having to base your entire playstyle around juiced up regrowths that is. Lifeblooms/rejuvs shouldn’t be ticking for less than 100k into 7mil hp targets. I don’t think a lot of people realize rdruids are like 1 or 2 small tweaks away from being absolutely dominant, which I think blizzard is trying to avoid.
Also fwiw, I think our entire mastery stat should be reworked. By design it’s almost impossible to properly tune rdruids at the beginning of an xpac without having to dramatically nerf them later on, but having a class feel bad to play until you get 15-20% mastery, and completely unviable <10% is also bad design
I sometimes am in a situation where full hots plus regrowth spam doesnt move the healthbar up if both dps are on my team mate. So both of you are right. if i try to clone the other dps, im guaranteed to loose, cause 1 mico cc will end the game. Sometimes even falling one global behind is a gg xDD especially since every hot is purgable easy pease lemon squeazy. I think buff to regrowth and hots are necesary lol. Just compare what other clases have, ultimate penance for example, we have nothing like that
Fully agree ; reroll the casual andy spec (disc) press 2 buttons and you win
imagine not pumping 900k-1.2mil all game smh
All priest players should be deported to oceanic servers
I’ve already been deported to limbo, I only play holy
Leveled up my rdruid first for the xpac. I was having a lot of fun with it in DF s4. Geared up in pre-season. First day of season q’d up probably 2 lobbies.
Ppl were dying through me freecasting, full hots, cds up. Either spec sucks or I just magically got worse compared to last season
Logged out after that
Needs some throughput buffs because it’s arguably the worst healer rn, def bottom 3.
I agree with the second part but also disagree with throughput buffs (for now) because it’s been SO nice not having rdruids dominate the game past a certain skill level
I mean yeah they tend to be stier more often than not and promote damp playstyle sure.
But healer balance overall is still pretty bad with disc being head and shoulders above the rest still and playing rdru rn is essentially throwing
no argument except that hpal is just as good as disc, I’ve given up on my rdruid after a good amount of effort
There’s a reason I mentioned pres evoker. Connect the dots.
Yeah well they have low healing but Disc still has no stun
and its never going to get one
I’m not completely sure throughput is as big of an issue as people think it is with rdruid. It’s definitely weak throughput wise compared to other healers and should probably be buffed a bit, but way more importantly is:
- its relative inability to recover (especially from constant swaps) due to how many globals it takes to get healing to acceptable levels
- its insane susceptibility to purges with no meaningful dispel protection
Both of these existed in DF, but haste was much higher (for easier global management) and throughput was also high enough that you could get by without needing a full mastery stack to keep people alive (but this also meant a full mastery stack was too much throughput). Treants were also a big savior in terms of global management in DF, and hunter purge wasn’t as ridiculous as it is now.
