This. Blizzard has no problem adding features from later expacs to WotLK (WoW token, faction v faction, watered down mythic dungeons), they were fine with implementing most WotLK features early, but the in game quest helper that was part of WotLK? Nah that can wait. 
Not to mention that everyone uses questie, clearly the majority of the player base wants it.
