Rested XP Worth it?

Do you quest with rested XP? And if so, does it make any real difference when it comes to how fast you level? I’m curious to know how long it takes to get max rested XP both in rest zones and out. I’ve heard that it’s roughly 10 days if you’re in a rest zone, but what if you aren’t?

Thanks!

It takes 10 days when logged at an inn or city to max it and 40 days when anywhere else. It only affects mob kills and gathering exp, not quests.

It is more exp, you’ll level a little faster while it is active, but personally I don’t think it’s worth it. You could easily finish leveling in the time it takes to wait for it to build up. And it only lasts for a few levels or so anyways.

It makes a huge difference at lower levels, and a much smaller difference at higher levels. As you level up, a higher and higher percentage of your xp comes from quest rewards which are not effected by rest xp.

At low levels being at full rested xp will probably burn out in a couple levels. By BfA it will probably take you all ten levels to get through full rested xp bonus.

Thanks! I experimented with it a little today, and with the mob density in BfA, it doesn’t seem to take long for a bubble to fill from killing mobs. At the same time, however, I could have filled that bubble even faster if I just turned in quests. I’m only six levels away from 120, though, so I’m not sure what I should do. Perhaps just quest?

Questing and bgs in between, win or lose, makes it go by extremely fast, and breaks up the monotony.

I’d go that route, but I’m RPing a for YouTube series. I’m trying to keep each episode under 2 hours. That’s mainly why I’m asking. I only quest to keep the RP as vibrant as possible  The only time I do instances is when it ties in directly with the quest line.

I see, well that rules out random battlegrounds  Questing is really fast xp in this expansion, I was surprised how quickly I got my first character to 120.

You’ll be there in no time

Thank you! And you’re definitely right there. I’ve been timing my leveling, and currently, it only takes me about an hour and fifteen minutes to go up a level. Considering I’m taking my time and watching all of the cutscenes and dialogue, that’s not too shabby at all!

Island expeditions are the fastest way to level if you get expeditions that aren’t full of mouth breathers. If you get bad ones, just leave and continue questing.

Giving you a like for that incredible guild name

rested exp is a relic from when it was actually difficult to gain levels in MMOs

With fully rested XP, it currently takes me about an hour and fifteen minutes to gain a level when it comes to 110-120. What would it be without rested XP?

only if you have a lot of rested its worth it.

I RP through content, but I’m managing to get into Boralus between levels. I could easily do that to 120. I’m just wondering if it’s worth it since I’d only be playing this character roughly once a week if I went that route.

once a week will be a bub so of rested.

From what I gather, it takes 10 days in a city for someone to gain fully rested XP. When I play, though, I usually only do two levels at a time. Most of that XP is gained through questing, so I still have plenty of rested XP left over, but would still need about a week for it to be full again.

any extra exp is good.but it should take you no time to hit 120 from 115.

Trying to keep it under 90 minutes per level via questing. Is that still possible without rested XP? I’m at a 65% xp buff between my heirlooms and the Boralus potion.

If you’re looking to power level it’s not with wait. You’ll level faster by just questing.

If your bouncing between two characters then it’s not bad. Level one rest one.

Not really power leveling. Just trying to keep my webisodes under 2 hours for my YouTube series

For context, one level = one webisode.
