Let’s focus on getting people that pay real money just to bypass a game by paying fake money, that they got with real money, some flippin therapy? I got five on it.
you used “real money” twice maybe you meant paying for the game subscription for the first one, but it certainly reads as being redundant.
also as some folks have said “i’m an adult with a job now it’s a better use of my time to grind for 1 hour at my job rather than 12 or more hours in game”
Just because you are “participating in a raid” does not mean you are not being carried…
GDKP could be considered boosting service of sorts – the definition is iffy though I would say.
Political trolls the few times I have dared to risk loss of brain cels to read the channels.
Decent discords mods will cut out that one for sure lol. Most…are more than happy they do.
There are probably 100’s of discords to sling that 2 party crap around. they can go there really.
There’s a fairly simple solution. Update the rules and add a Trade (Services) channel, like on retail right now. Don’t like the boost/gdkp/carry offer spam? Leave the Trade (Services) channel.
Why Blizzard didn’t port minor things like this is beyond me.
That is for sure when people buy a single item for 3 millions gold in WOTLK not retail you can 100% for sure assume its RMT gold, nobody is gonna buy 600 Tokens to buy one item. (Its about 5K the token right now.) so it would cost them around 12K IRL money, I know whales exist but come on, if they use RMT 3rd party site gold then its like what 4-5K?
I still don’t believe that (3m Gold Ring) was a real thing. It was set up or it was a calculated move that they were able to recoup any actual money spent on tokens (or otherwise) using clickbait ad revenue.
I 100% agree. This was some silly streamer setup or whatnot.
I’ve not seen any video (cause I really don’t care) but did the video show the actual trading of that much gold?
In one of their stream you can see the raid leader sending around 125K gold to few people since at the end they share the pot with 25 people, so I would assume its real, they send it via the in game mail. (Which is what a lot of RMT gold seller with 3rd party site do to money launder their dirty gold using GDKPs.)
I saw few vids talking about 3rd party gold selling site who fake GDKPs bids to then send gold to gold buyers who were in their GDKPs as a way to avoid Blizzard bans, true or not I have no idea but it make sense to me.
Anybody who have 3M gold on WOTLK should be investigated by the GMs 100% actually anybody who buy one item for anything above 100K on classic WoW should be investigated. (But we all know Blizzard would do nothing even if the guy bought the item for 50 millions gold.)
Well much like “reality TV” - streamers and video’s by wannabe streamers are always suspect to staging. Even if you saw someone trading gold in game - we have no idea what happened prior to the video starting. We don’t know if they all know each other, etc.
My thoughts are, unless someone 100% trustworthy and was actually in the raid - approach anything you see online/internet with a huge grain of salt.
True, but wasn’t there few times where the Legendary Bow from Sunwell was bought for like 500K up to 1M gold? I mean sure its a legendary item but still that was back in TBC, I would assume people get items for even more gold now since we have WoW Tokens and Blizzard do not seem to care if people do illegal RMT and buy gold either.
