Hey all! I’m just curious if anybody has noticed that they disabled ressing in horrific visions this time around? I’m just wondering if this is a bug on my end or intended change? To make it clear for all the people who don’t know, in old visions you used to be able to res your allies by consuming half your remaining sanity and giving it to your teammates which would res them. As it stands now that functionality seems to be disabled and the only way is via orb resses which makes running with groups of people pretty rough for high mask clears.

Look at the last 2 talents on the left and right columns next time you’re in game and can click on the Hourglass of Horrific Visions.

That talent refers to the free res you get, that was also a talent in the original visions.

Yes, that refers to ressing one player without sanity cost each vision, it was available in the original talent tree as well. I’m talking about the mechanic of right clicking on someone in a vision and sacrificing half your sanity to them to bring them back up. It is not mentioned in the trees because it was never a talent, it was a baseline function of the visions.

The functionality you’re describing appears to be in the game. Check again whether you missed it or if it’s bugged.
I can’t personally test atm, but the Synchronized Mind Stabilizer reads:
In Horrific Visions, the first revival you perform on an ally costs no Sanity.
-implying the 1/2 sanity donation rez is still around, and the WoWhead Horrific Visions Revisited Guide still refers to the mechanic as well.
We’re in week 2, still can’t res people without using an Orb, what’s the deal?

I’m imagining they either don’t care enough to fix it or wanted to remove it based on no response here over a week. Makes running with groups especially 4 or 5 pretty tough moreso if everybody isn’t on the same tribute levels, shame.
Friend and I couldn’t figure out how to do it other than using a restoration orb on top of the other person.
I don’t think you can die until you get the final talents on the hourglass. If you’re running with multiple people, it would make sense that no one can rez until you get the talent, death means death until then, right?

No, no it’s really not. The functionality to consume half your sanity to bring up your friend with the sanity you consumed was the intended functionality in the original visions. The fact that a talent even says “res for free” indicates that they did not intend for it to be broken. However, their failure to fix it does indicate they don’t care enough to.

except it is lol the tree you fill even TELLS you this., until this spot is FILLED you can NOT rez without orb
Again, you do not understand what we are talking about. It’s okay. We are NOT talking about the free res. We’re talking about consuming half of your sanity to give it to your friend. It’s okay to just not know dude, you don’t have to comment on things you don’t know what you’re talking about.

yes REZING with SPELL can NOT be used until the talent is PICKED, until that TALENT is picked you can only rez with a orb.
dont worry next week when you pick that talent you will be able to REZ with spell first cast will coast nothing but doing again later will coast sanity
It does not say anywhere in the tooltip. “Enables res without orb”. Read the tooltip.
you expect blizzard to always show tooltips? you must be new to wow…also maintance happing in 20mins could be changing this to allow with OUT talent as well. (doubt it honestly though)
where’s the helpful KILL count to show people how many kills they need still, though this really isnt that hard to do just got to check all areas and buildings but iv seen enough people asking for a kill counter
blizzard does NOT have to include everything for everything to tell people about stuff/spells/items.

Be funny though if when people pick that talent they can magically rez for free and then start rezing again after but coasting sanity, thats the way i see it working, until you can do first 1 free you can Not rez at all unless you use orb.
first one is free meaning you can now rez but be warned first time will be free, after that it will coast sanity.
