"Respect Player's Time" Doesn't Apply to Druids Apparently

For the vitriol spewing salt lords:

  • I don’t think most of us have a problem with there being a grind or variability with drops. It’s that you’re unable to do anything else while waiting for these rares.

  • You need to camp your character on top of these rare spawns because the second they do spawn they die or are tamed instantly.

  • You have to use addons in order to keep track of them on the map because unlike the group content rares (whatever you call the rare type from FR and Zaralek) there’s nothing on the map to indicate that they are around.

  • Because the spawn rate is low and variable (1hr 45min to 2.5 hours) you first need to actually see and note the time. ONLY THEN are you able to safely go off and do other content while you wait.

  • If you’ve freshly logged in you may need to wait around in a single area for up to 2 hours to get the timer correct.

  • because these are just regular rares in the overworld, it makes it a dangerous choice to go check other spawns across the map. And because the drop rate is so low you need to sort of put in active effort camping them. Which means you’re basically stuck in one spot.

People need to stop reading OPs post as a complaint he hasn’t gotten it. It’s that the way you need to play the game while going after these appearances forces you to literally sit in one spot twiddling your thumbs.
