Anyone found a good “guide” or information on this? found a couple of little things here and there on youtube and elsewhere, but there seems to be a lot of missing information.

You don’t really need a guide for this. it’s mainly done by enchanters. Just Get an enchanter, or become one yourself and then any piece of gear becomes over powered.
One thing to keep in mind is elemental essences. I remember having to farm the water elementals in EPL for the essence of water drops. They were for a crafted piece of resist gear. Either for BWL or AQ. I don’t remember which.
But elemental essences…hoard them. All of them. They will be a huge part of the tailored pieces.
Disenchanting also helps tremendously
All that Nature Resist in Maura also for AQ20, maybe 40 also?
fire resist for MC and BWL. Onyxia’s cloak especially for BWL.
Nature resist for AQ 20/40.
Frost and Shadow resist for Naxx.

In Phase 1, almost everyone in the raid will survive without FR gear - you’ll have auras/totems, fire pots, and the black rock spire buff when needed (Ony and Rag usually). Tanks however, will need to build FR sets, typically with gear that drops in MC and is crafted via dark iron.

To clarify, yes my intent is to tank through the majority of content as a bear druid.
Mostly i was refering to values. How much resist is “enough” and what is the value of resist over other mitigation stats? What boss fights is it a must to have resist gear for?
wowhead has some good resist guides, but unless you’re a tank, you don’t need to care about most elements. They are useful to have, but you won’t sacrifice purples for them. These are the only 2 you’ll really care about:
Nature: For 2 AQ 40 bosses (more important for melee than ranged)
Frost: For last 2 bosses of game (which most players never reach)
