Resilient keys should start at completing all 10s at most.
Realistically it should start at all 6s or 7s.
Change my mind.

9 keys and 5 keys just wouldn’t exist then. Nobody would ever voluntarily downgrade a 10 key.
Okay? 5’s and 9’s don’t exist now.
Failing a key should not delevel the key, you are already putting your time and consumables in to the dungeon, that is more than enough of a penalty for failure.
It’s not meant to be a penalty. It’s there for purposes of key economy, see my first reply.
There are ways to do that outside of it feeling like punishment.
Such as? “There are ways” isn’t a compelling argument.
It’s punishment enough to run with players that don’t look up avoidable mechanics and not learn about the dungeon in general including thier own character’s toolkit.
Looking at you OP.
While I agree that resilient keys should exist on lower difficulties, I think it would be better if the points were the break points for the key levels (4, 7, 10 and 12) as at these, some might have mastered the affixes for the last set but need work on the newest one like mastered the bargain, need work on Fort/Tyr, mastered fort/tyr alone, need work on them together, etc.
