Resilience

Can anyone tell me how much resilience you can get on the beta? Are you able to get a full pvp set or is it like 0 resilience right now?

I’m not sure what the max is on the beta but the preset items I think give you 200.

I think the actual cap though is just under 400 for all of TBC

Im just trying to see how different arena will look, like is beta gear accurate or are they missing tons of resilience?

They are def missing res.

I think the pvp beta server is only 200 res and it’s the blue set.

The blue set, especially for mages, is probably the best pvp set you’ll be using. It’s high on stam and resilience. Full season 3 BiS gear for mage is 289 resilience. That’s -7.33% chance to get crit and damage from dots. -14.66% critical damage and mana drain. What you are seeing now is closely related to how things will be in the future.

they just added new pvp trinkets and pvp neck and ring with res on it.

I feel like this is way off.

I’m at work so don’t have full access to stuff to check but isn’t the s3 set 135 res? Then add the 35 for set and it’s like 170 res?

Then most off items are 30 res each?

Which is around another 150??

Weapon is another 30.

Then rings and trinkets?

I’m going off memory here tho so I def could be wrong, but I did think the actual cap on what the game registers is just under 400?

Cap is 500

Oh okay it’s like a weird number right I thought it was 396 or something but maybe it’s 496?

Possibly, i just know after 500 the effects of resilience is significantly diminished.

Yeah I’ll look it all up when I get home I’m at work right now I got to make these deliveries.

I do think the res the other guy said is too small from Mages in season 3.

I don’t see it specifically written but in the WoWhead stat guide it says:

At level 70, 39.4 Resilience Rating reduces your chance to be Crit by 1%, and reduces your damage taken from Critical Strikes by 2%

If the damage taken cap (resilience soft cap I think?) is 25%, I think that would mean 492.5 would be the soft cap?

Actually it’s funny from a healer point of view, I can get almost 400 resil in the first season, and stay around 400-450 from s1->s2, but will drop down in s3 to possibly below 400. Why? because the offensive stats eventually outweigh the resil needed especially in the s3+s4 gear.

You plan to heal resil?

Yessir I mainly play disc/rsham.

nice.
I’ve done all the healing in classic ill ever do tho.

Lmao that’s funny I’m the exact opposite, I did barely any healing in classic. My priest is shadow and my shaman is ele xD. I typically prefer to heal in pvp, but I just felt awkward without es or ws on a shaman or ps, mending or mass dispell on a priest. Also healing without resilience gear sucks.

Ready for some shadowplay come tbc.
Gonna be good times.

Yea that is funny.

I plan to do this mage and a rshaman.

I love the 3s comps for rshamans.

Doing my goat in prepatch

Hell yea bro, I know some solid folks who are coming to play tbc. Should be fun, I think shadowplay in s1 is very strong.
