I should have 40k saved up right now with all I’ve done, but because I had all rank 3 essences already, i got the shaft. Sorry guys, if you play more, you get less. Great philosophy blizz. I have guildies going into raid tonight in full BiS corruption and I have yet another currency to grind out for weeks. Thanks for that Blizz! Feels great!

I don’t think you understand. People “worked on” the exact same things. Some people were able to earn echoes, some people (who already had all rank 3 essences) literally weren’t able to earn them. They “worked on” the same thing, but some got rewarded with BiS corruptions today and some got the shaft. That’s the problem.
I dont think echoes should be wiped, but people who were unable to earn echoes and still completed echo-earning activities should be compensated.

So in 4-6 weeks we’ll be where hybrids are right now. Totally fair.
There are logs keeping track of the content that we do going back for months. Could they not just retroactively reward the echoes for content that has been done already? This way we could avoid the bad feeling of having to reset a currency and would make the players like myself that have been missing out on echoes happy at the same time.

Although pure DPS are more at risk to getting zero echoes at the start since there are less essences to collect overall, hybrids can still get screwed by this system too.
It sucks, I know people with tens of thousands of echoes. I saw one guy bragging about having 40k (idk if he’s telling the truth but you get the point)
People shouldn’t be punished for collecting all their essences while the people that didn’t get a head start on corruptions.

Who cares when in arena 99% of the people in my bracket were likely to stack verse amps anyways?
Corruption purchasing should have been released with a new currency to collect. People were earning echoes while others doing the same content with them at the same time did not earn them because of a restriction. So, building a new merchant items on a previously restricted currency was a brain fart imho.

Blizzard made a huge mistake by not using a new currency or resetting people’s amount of echoes.
The fact that if you had all your rank 3 essences and haven’t been able to collect echoes regardless of the amount of content you participated in is a great disadvantage in comparison to the people that were still able to collect the echoes all this time.
It isn’t fair to the players that have been on top of their gameplay by punishing them and rewarding the slackers that have an abundance of echoes at the onset of this change with the corruption vendor.
Actions like these are what makes me not even want to play the game.

The vendor was executed very poorly and imo the corruptions are way too easily farmable. Making them ALL available but at a higher cost would of been better (as well as resetting echoes). But once it does a full rotation everyone will stop caring.
Personally I wish they cost titan residuum because at this point hardly anyone needs azerite

Yeah it would have been pretty easy to just give people who were completionists a small stipend as a reward. It likely wouldn’t have been the 20k+ that some people had going but still.
Then to implement it on a rotation where you might not have enough echos for the very first ones put out? Now you have to wait how long?
Seriy poorly thought out. Literally coulda waited one more week and figured some things out.
