Is there any way we could get a reset combat button please? Say with a 5 or 10 minute cool down timer and not usable in pvp to avoid abuse?
Or maybe fix the constant buggy stuck in combat?
Sorry to inform you that the devs do not frequent the support forums for player feedback or suggestion, if you wish to be heard, best make a post on the General discussion forums or use the ingame suggestion tool.
Now, if you think something is bugged, make a post on the Bug Reports forums as QA doesn't come to the CS forums for reports.

FWIW, "stuck in combat" is a pretty common bug report ATM. That makes it likely that the devs are aware and may possibly be thinking about how to fix this. (I make no promises, since I have zero connection to Blizzard and even less to their QA and dev team; I just know software development in general, and I know that bug fixes can sometimes wind up on a backlog for a long time, especially if the dev team is all-hands-on-deck busy with new feature development... like 8.1).
Being stuck in combat is often a bug caused by mobs despawning, like in Nazmir and other zones... there needs to be a function where if you are not dealt or dealing damage for a certain amount of time, the game will automatically reset combat.

Not a bad idea; I hope someone at Blizzard reads it!
I actually have this button allready. It's called 'Shadowmeld'.
It's already in game, it's called death. When your characters hit points reach zero, combat will be reset. You don't even need a button for it, there are of course buttons you can press to reset combat, such as find a large cliff, or an elevator boss and press forward!
Anything outside of the class abilities already in game it would be abused.

There also a few times when a mob can aggro you while being in combat with another npc. So long as that npc stays alive and your in range of it, you'll be on its aggro chart. This can also happen with critters when using abilities that have an aoe debuff like a warriors shout.
Yeah, my Hunter Night Elf has two of those buttons ;)
Unfortunately, this character does not =/ I just try to get very far away.

Welcome to The Burning Crusade left-overs. That's how long this bug has been around.11/03/2018 07:52 AMPosted by ShotosanIs there any way we could get a reset combat button please? Say with a 5 or 10 minute cool down timer and not usable in pvp to avoid abuse?

The reason we get stuck in combat is because we inexplicably aggro the darnedest things and they don't reset. All creatures need better leashing, especially lvl 120 town guards.
Yeah, this is a good idea since they haven’t been able to fix this bug for years. Not sure why it’s worse than usual right now though—happens to me multiple times daily.
Play night elf. Combat reset every 2 mins. Now i remember why i made a night elf priest.
Good luck getting anything like this fixed. Now, if it was a way to get reputation or experience faster that would be fixed as fast as humanly possible. This with today's team? rofls... No, it's just not company policy I'm afraid.

This character was originally a Night Elf, but I quickly discovered that at max level, the tank is usually either the first or last to die 90% of the time. A reset combat button doesn't get a lot of value in either situation, because either I'm already dead and resetting combat doesn't matter, or I'm about to die and am fine with taking the 10% durability loss like the rest of my team.
I've found using my Hearthstone has always gotten me out of combat, but I've heard it doesn't always work for everyone.
