Rescue is not working in a way that is good

Rescue should be useable on yourself. It is a primary defensive cooldown for evokers. Not being able to us eit while solo is a meaningless detriment to the class. If I can verdant embrace myself, I should be able to rescue myself.

It would be nice if it was something more like rogue’s grapple with the option of moving just yourself or yourself and a target. I have used it to help myself in arenas and battlegrounds and I can only imagine how much I’ve enraged my party members doing so.

A rework would need a more appropriate name, too. Like Swoop or something. Or maybe evacuate.

I’ve been using my alpha access to give daily feedback on rescue and trying to get it changed to basically behave like verdant embrace, works solo if no friendly target, works with target if friendly player selected.

It’s pretty silly to have an ability that is essentially dead unless you’re in a raid or party, especially one that grants a bubble if talented for it.

This skill needs to be revised, I particularly love the defensive part of it, but absolutely no one likes being the target of this skill. And that’s really bad considering her defensive power. Maybe add a choice node for a talent that you fly to an ally, so that you both gain the benefits of the twin guardians’ shield.

People’s reactions to being rescued are generally indicative of how and where you chose to rescue them.

A rescue back to position on a magmorax knockback is a lot better than a random rescue to a worse location just to give yourself a shield.

If you just want the shield it’s pretty easy to not move someone, and it’s not like it cancels casts. If you’re doing it for the shield and your not using it poorly, I don’t know many that would be mad about a 500k shield.

That said, I wouldn’t hate being able to self cast sometimes, but it should have an incentive (like a shorter cd) to use it on others.

just rescue the hunter’s pet, or warlock’s pet.
