Rerolling New toons

If you were to reroll a toon, would you reroll from level 1 or would you reroll from level 110?

And what are the benefits from rerolling from ground zero, level 1 aside from “learning your class” are there any other benefits?

You get a lot of achievement points for your character going from level 1.

Also if you haven’t leveled from scratch in a while it could be fun to see all the changes they made to the zones and dungeons.

The last character I leveled from 20 was for heritage armor during the BfA prepatch and there were so many issues with scaling and XP nerfs that I’ll never do it again.

I’ve heard they fixed a lot of the issues I had but it was so miserable for me that I’ll for sure by a boost in the future.

I’ve done both. The tutorial you get at the beginning of a boost is sufficient enough for leveling purposes but nowhere near enough to really “know” the class. Leveling from 1 is better for that if you’ve never played that class before.

If you enjoy it, do it. I’m pretty much done with leveling. I have each class over 100.

I reroll at level 20!

Yep, I made it 12 levels and gave up. I will never level another thru the world of nerf and scaling again. It was not even remotely fun and this is coming form someone that has leveled 20+ from level 1.

Benefit #1: Fun!

I’ve done it a couple of times for heritage armor but stopped at 110 (when I get the armor). I stopped not because I got the armor but because I couldn’t fly in BFA. Now that I have flying unlocked I may push them to 120.

Now that I have allied races I will generally start alts as them to avoid the first 20 levels but historically I only boost toons I hate playing and level up everything else from level 1.

There’s plenty of mogs in old zones I don’t have yet, particularly for plate wearers/clothies. So for me it’s level 1 / 20.

Yeah, I know most of the gear acquired while questing isn’t that flash, but there are a few nice bits & pieces to be found.

??? Why?

If you hate playing a character just shelve it. Why for all that is good and right would you spend money on a character you hate?

Is OCD really this powerful?

Levels get burned through so fast, its not fun. You get into a storyline and then before finishing, its off to somewhere else

I only use the free boosts hahaha I didn’t specify that. I boosted my lock actually because I just couldn’t get a handle on him and thought I would enjoy him more at higher levels.

I’m debating on rerolling; but I can’t decide to start from level 1 (ground zero) fresh or a level 20 allied race, or just dish out sixty bones and grab a 110 and go from there.

So I figured I’d get some opinions from the community! The struggles real, lol.

Why are you boosting something you hate to start with? That’s insane man.

Maybe one day I will

Level 1, because I like the journey as cliche as that sounds.

Level 1 because the little baby character can grow up in front of your eyes, duh. Become big adult.

?? have you actually leveled a character since 7.3.5 because you can stay in one area now.

This is exactly my problem with the boosts.

It is fine if you have been playing for a long time and have been playing various classes, but it is aimed at new players and I think it does them a disservice.

Maybe if they designed a small scenario or specialized zone for each class like they did for DKs and DHs it would be better.
