An idea whose time has come?
It occurred to me while running an alt I’m currently levelling through repeated normal dungeons attempting to get a shoulder piece, that it would be lovely if there was a token for rolling on the last boss that drops the Azerite pieces, to get an extra chance of getting it. So many attempts at the dungeons - and if you are on a dps, so much queue time - that is often without result and it gets a tad depressing.
If it is available for raids, not sure why it can’t be for dungeons, even if it could only be used on the final boss. Thots?

Yea you can use bonus rolls on mythic 0 an above dont have any idea why you would want to waste bonus rolls leveling through a dungeon esp considering it takes around 8 hours /played to go from 110 to 120

If they made an easier to get one for ONLY dungeons, sure why not. It would just be another optional gold sink pretty much.
I’d probably use it while leveling/for early gearing. Maybe transmog farming.
I’m thinking something that is relatively cheap, not the bonus rolls that you use for raids and Mythics. And it wouldn’t be a waste if I managed to get the shoulders I needed so that I didn’t have to keep doing the same normal dungeons over and over to try and get it. I don’t generally speed level up since I already have a fair number of capped toons; sometimes I am just levelling to play.
You can run Normal and Heroic dungeons ad nauseam to get the pieces you want. 10 times per hour. The only reason a token would be needed if you could only run them a limited amount of times per week.
Indeed that is true. Did you miss the part where I said I was hoping to reduce the need to do that??
Then an MMO isn’t the game for you.
Grinding for gear is kinda a main system in a mmo
It wouldn’t bother me if they sold a 100G Heroic re-roll token, limited to 4 per week.
Yea, a player with a group can re-run a heroic all they want, but otherwise it’s up to the LFG Gods, or, if you pick it specifically, you’re locked out to one per day (outside of LFG).
100G isn’t a lot of gold, but it’s not nothing either.
Since I’ve been playing this game since 2009 with a subscription that has never lapsed in that time, I do sort of get that grinding is involved. I do not begrudge my time doing that generally (although lately grinding has become the “go to” method for the developers in almost every situation rather than actually come up with new ideas for gameplay options).
I suggested in my original post that it might be a nice idea. And I stand by that, as an option. Doing multiple dungeons does provide other benefits - experience, gold, potential green gear that can be used in other ways. I don’t deny that. I just said, it might be an idea to provide some form of token - perhaps one that could be earned in game by another activity, to reduce the need for repetitive gaming.
