That’s not how the tokens work.
The system is working as intended.
You won’t get the same piece from a BONUS ROLL. It doesn’t matter what loot dropped from the boss.

Upon defeating a Midnight Season 1 raid boss or completing a Mythic+ Dungeon, Bountiful Delve, or Prey Hunt on Nightmare difficulty, players may choose to spend their Nebulous Voidcores to receive a random item appropriate for their Loot Specialization from that activity. After receiving an item in this way, it is removed from that loot pool until all eligible items have been obtained on a per-difficulty basis.

Theoretically, you could get tertiary stats from the bonus roll to make it different than what you got from the drop.
Obviously nobody is elated to get a duplicate when it happens, but it’s removed from your pool now. Easier than having to make the system account for trading, vault, catalyzing, upgrades, etc. Would rather have it as is than nothing, won’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

Considering this is coming from someone who can’t post in complete sentences or understand the very simple information given on bonus rolls and why they work the way they do… no one much cares if you believe anyone is “serious.”
Look if you don’t want to read the article and understand how the system works, then by all means continue to be oblivious and yell at the wall.
