Hardcore is some of the most fun I’ve had in years playing WoW. I got a character to 60 finally after 2 months. I would love to go back but would highly prefer a fresh or reroll on the servers to restart the economy. Does anyone else agree?

No, I still am not level 60 with any of my alts - then again a fresh server might lessen the pressure on the existing realms now that layers are reduced to one. So fresh, NOT reroll.

Economy is going to get borked no matter how many times you reset the server as long as the botting/gold buying problem is unsolved.
Starting a new server is like bailing water out of a boat that has a hole in it. Sure you might temporarily remove the water but it’s going to come right back.

Grats on 60 though.
Economy is still stable enough to be able to make good money on new characters. Bots and gold buyers are guaranteeing the levels of inflation we’ll see, but I’d say you still have a good year, year and a half before things get really wacky.

Blizz isn’t making more Hardcorpse servers.
Oh also Self Found mode is coming.
If the economy has you concerned, you won’t even have to interact with it.
When Self Found is added, create a new character and select the Self Found option during the creation process. You will be unable to use the auction house, unable to trade with any other characters (including your own) and mail will be disabled as well. A whole new challenge and no one but yourself in that ecosystem (grouping/dungeons will still be possible but no trading until 60). How cool is that?

You say this but I still see 3 layers everywhere on DP. It’s weird to say we don’t have enough players for a server when they literally are instance dividing us which original Vanilla WoW never had on their servers.

Defias has a very healthy population, but I haven’t seen it go above medium in long time, and it probably won’t now the the luster and newness have worn off of HC and people have moved onto the next FOTM, however the population has stabilized, and its likely that it will continue to be viable. Skull Rock does not though, and many of the people on that server have rerolled on Defias, or have asked for the option to transfer.
So yes there is enough of a population for a HC server, but that wasn’t what I said, my statement was that there wasn’t enough of a population playing HC for 2 servers, so adding a third seems unlikely, since it would most likely result in another almost empty dead server.
This is a horrible idea. If anything they need to merge the two servers.

It’s not even on the new server yet? Even more reason not to switch, and by the time it comes out the server will be no different from the others.
