Requesting quest line to cross faction

i’d appreciate it if we could switch factions. i see no reason why there can’t be a quest line available to defect to the other side

This questline already exists. You open up the WoW shop and enter your credit card deets and BOOM you’re now the opposite faction.

i didn’t know quest lines accepted major credit cards. is this standard now?

They did this in EverQuest 2- it was called “betraying” or some such. It gave a bit of flavor to the characters and was a fun exercise in and of itself.

For it to work in WoW it would need to be a major undertaking, and not one amenable to “gaming.” For example, make it a solid rep grind to switch factions, and then a solid rep grind to switch back- something on the level of “the Insane” title. If you tie it to cloth turn-ins or something like that, people could just buy their way from faction to faction via the auction house and WoW tokens, etc. It would lose a lot of the sting of actually defecting to one faction.

Or, make it permanent. If you are a human who goes over to the Horde, you can never come back to the Alliance. Etc.

They just need a neutral faction where Horde and alliance could join , but they (Blizzard) dare not do that then both the Horde and alliance would see their numbers shrink… And the wailing and nashing of teeth would be epic…
