Requesting Blizzard to Prevent Group-Que Syncing into Epic Battlegrounds

As a passionate player of World of Warcraft, I have always valued the epic battlegrounds as an accessible and enjoyable place for solo players like myself to enjoy PvP and engage with other players. However, within the last ~15 years, the enjoyment of this game has been hampered by a growing issue that seeks to distort the balance of competition.

Large groups of players are forming communities, with the goal to bypass the established group limit of 5 players by syncing their entrance into the battlegrounds. This specific act of que-syncing circumvents the game’s system and the concept of fair play and dampens the spirit of competition that World of Warcraft is known and loved for. The impact of this growing trend is ultimately detrimental to the majority of battleground-players who enjoy playing the game solo or in smaller groups.

World of Warcraft provides built-in outlets for coordinated team play, such as Rated Battlegrounds and Wargames. Still, these significant groups continue to exploit epic battlegrounds on a daily basis, undermining the spirit and intention of them. This process essentially monopolizes the battlegrounds, driving many players away from the PvP experience.

In response to this, we request Blizzard Entertainment, the creator of World of Warcraft, to implement measures preventing the possibility of multiple groups syncing their entry into the same epic battlegrounds. It is essential that World of Warcraft maintains its spirit of fairness and competitive play for all members, regardless of whether they choose to play solo or within a group.

Thank you so much for your help!

… If anyone has suggestions or other ideas or a completely different opinion please discuss below. I and many others with me just see nothing changing despite all threads and posts about this matter the last decade …

never going to happen, Queing etc has been bad day one and continues to be that way, and this stems across all there games, blizzard has hands down the worst queuing across the board, 0 role base quing, no actual skill balancing, fair class balance across both sides, not separating single que vs group que. don’t even bother its been 20 years and blizzard has done absolutely nothing.

Great post OP, but unfortunately they do not care, they are not listening.

If they do listen to PvPers, it will be the .01% pro players whom wow is their full time income, and big streamers.

Petitions are frowned upon on the forums. You’ll want to remove that.

/bump

From posting this on other places (EU forum, reddit and a big streamer’s youtube channel), I know that only about 8% of the people who agreed actually signed the petition. I hope you guys will make the tiny effort to sign as well. It is greatly appreciated! The problem is huge, also on EU :frowning: and the change has to come from Blizzard.

It should be fixed, its easy to fix,and there are more premades in random battlegrounds then rated…

All they have to do is mix factions and make it solo queue only.

Cross faction yes. Solo queue, no. There’s already a solo queue mode for both battlegrounds and arena. There needs to be some mode someone can play with a friend or two that is battlegrounds.

Its called rated battlegrounds. They even give more rewards. Go, go play with your kin.

A friend or two in a non-rated mode. Not 10 players in a rated mode.
Look, don’t make this a bigger deal than it actually is.

The thing is, people are mass leaving the game over this for the past decade+. Only a small percentage comes to the forums to complain about it and rightly so, yet blizzard does not do anything because its such a niche. Which is why I wanted to collect signatures to present to them along with an actual written letter with viable solutions for this. Naive? maybe, but complaining on the forums does not help, and the people who quit the game over it don’t mention it in the reason for leaving because they just don’t care anymore about the game.

Anyway, the link to the petition has been deleted from my original post now…
So this post is reduced to just another post with complains, where nothing changes. Because there is no way of communicating with the syncpremading people, proven fact.

Its pretty bad… rng battle grounds should be the entry level of pvp. Not one team of glads (geared)annihilating a team half in honor gear.

Right, and that is a problem of queue sync premades or the game not matching groups of 2-5 against other groups in a match.

IE: if one team has a group of 5 players, so should the other team. And making them cross faction would really reduce the queue sync premades.

Nah just make it solo and cross faction. People want groups they get a seperate queue like every dota style pvp game.

people honor level 0-29 are in their own bracket. the entry level of pvp is literally only filled with entry level players. if you are running into groups of glads, congrats, you are no longer an entry level pvper.

If you really wanna go that angle ok. I think you are gonna be alone with it

new pvpers are already in a new pvper bracket. they have already been thought of.

I try not to argue with people who are not being genuine.

I get you wanna defend premades but this is such a comically weak argument im not really gonna engage with it.

Its on the level of we shouldn’t arrest people who knife people because murders worse. Its a derpy pointless thing to say.

okay, i will attack the wider picture of your argument: pvp progression is based on player skill, not venue of pvp. that means that unrated pvp isn’t inherently “entry level” for rated pvp. entry level for rated pvp is just rated pvp at low ratings. players who enjoy unrated over rated do so due to the increased complexity and depth of play that the looser gameplay rules have.

now given that new pvpers are already catered to with their own special bracket, the idea that all unrated needs to be catered to new players is silly. its already been done and you are just using “think of the noobs” as a false argument to further your own agenda.

idk why you bother entertaining people like him , i wouldnt hell say the say the same thing 50x in different novels no point .

blizzard should push harder penalties on groups that circumvent the qs but we all know blizzard wont . Its just what it is at this point until blizzard lifts a finger and actually does soemthing we just have to deal with it . Theres no point in making 903428903284903284903 threads about it . Im a solo player and it doesnt matter to me im just there to play the epic bg.
