I’m primarily playing rogue and druid in SOD, Loving it btw!
I am struggling with frequent respecs on both characters. With the changes to tier .5, it’s nice to be able to dps, and heal on my druid, but to utilize the tanking set, i have to swap one of my specs over. I’d love to go back and tank dungeons for friends and guildmates (and I do) but it’s getting costly respeccing every week for raid.
Same on the rogue, I love to tank there as well, but I’m always missing out on a stealthy spec when the existing 2 are reserved for other things.
Adding a 3rd spec option for players I think would go a long way!
Please explain why I care how exactly someone got the spec they care currently playing with. How does it negatively impact things if someone tanks a dungeon in a proper, then does something in a BG in a different then goes to a farm spec?
That’s a win for everyone they’re playing with since they’re in a proper spec for all the group activities.
but seeing as how you lean mostly for qol on nearly every question about it, you wouldnt be able to tell if something was more rewarding being harder if you had to.
theres a reason people keep coming back to era style stuff and have for nearly 18 years called for some type of legacy server.
the things that are struggles in this game make it more rewarding than anything modern comes down the pipe with.
loot is a struggle.
specs can be a struggle.
grinds are a struggle.
ect ect.
even with the dual spec being a thing there is struggle to have , thus people asking for a 3rd or more specs.
that natural friction is what makes the mmo.
otherwise you get the unrewarding crap that throws random epics at you all the time and account wide everything that only further reduces any friction that makes the game feel like you accomplished anything even the small victories.
So you are just conflating a bunch of disparate ideas so you can say retail bad herp derp.
And there’s Era for #nochanges warts and all with no reasoning about why something is good or bad.
The reason people want more than dual spec is the same reason they want dual spec in the first place.
That doesn’t change struggling for loot or struggling with whatever grind. Indeed easier access to specs means more people actually participate in those grinds in the first place.
