Request to change the Shadowbarb Drone Mount Model

Hi there! Demonchibix here, your local friendly loving paladin!

I wanted to make a request that Blizzard look at possibly changing the in game mount model for the Shadowbarb drone!

Why this request you ask? Well, for one, I enjoy the new mount quest chains that Blizzard has added to add some connections to the new mounts we encounter. I understand the love and hard work that went in to these quest chains, so that being said, why would we cause harm to one of these mounts?

I get it, these poor Aqir bugs are old god related, but why have us spend 3 weeks on a quest chain forming a connection with these cute adorable creatures to then cause harm to them?

I understand this mount is a recolor, and most likely the Malevolent drone was made at the same time, so it was an easier addition to the quest chain. I just feel like it would be better suited to remove the chains off the head of the model, and restore it’s face so we don’t appear to be stabbing out 4 of it’s eyes.

I had started a thread on twitter, and I know so many people do care and view this as unsettling, I know I probably won’t make enough waves to get it changed, but it is definitely something I hope Blizzard thinks about in the future.

Yu’Gaz (Fluffy) Didn’t deserve this. Help Fluffy, Bitey McStabface, Reginald, or Spike. They deserve better!

It’s an old god aberration. I think it wants things this way.

It’s just pixels. Pixels of an ugly flying bug monster. The saddle and chains are meant to look painful and dark. That’s the whole deal with riding Aqir monsters, which creates a stark contrast between it and other mounts.

So…you’re starting a twitter campaign to prevent the perceived cruelty to digital creatures?
