"Request Stop" on flying was not in Vanilla

So why is it out there now ? Also the removal of wall climbing makes you stuck in places you could easily jump out with 2-3 spacebar strokes (eg the small lava pool, last boss Ragefire Chasm).
Add the removal of skelletons , so that streamers could not abuse the mechanism , the Wow Classic “no changes” is turning into Wow Classic -like.

You could get the same effect in vanilla by logging out and back in again.

There are quite a few little changes in the game that most people wouldn’t even notice - for example, being able to rotate your character with your mouse on the equipment screen (not possible in the original, you had to click those little arrows), or even the raid-style party frames they didn’t introduce until around Cataclysm. Just depends whether people think it’s a big deal or not. I’d say for the most part, the core experience is pretty intact.

I’m not a fan. Seems like we’re head down the QoL path. Wasn’t there yesterday.

Wait they added that? And lol I totally got stuck in that pool.

Correct. People will whine about anything though.

Idk this is an incredibly minor QoL addition lol. As someone pointed out, the same result could be achieved by logging out mid flight. I don’t see this as game changing in the least bit.

If they shortened flight paths, that’d be another story. But that isn’t happening.

Because Classic is a hybrid of the current WoW engine and 1.12.

This was explained in detail a year ago.

Report it as a bug.

Yes it was there and has been and even was discussed by the dev team so you’re wrong.

No it wasn’t. You’re actually just making stuff up. Please cite a source. This was never discussed.

It’s been there. You could also just log in and out while on a FP for the same thing to happen. They added the stop to avoid exploiting.

Nope. It was added today. That’s right you could log, so surely you don’t need a button. The same variation of every QoL argument ever. You could just do X to achieve Y so why not give us Z.

It was not added today.

Here is a post from 6 days ago on the EU forums of someone noticing it. I myself noticed it.

It’s been there day 1, where have you been lol?

Blizz also said they added it because people would Alt F4 so often it’s useless to not have it. Achieves the same effect.

And before you say “but queues will force you to not log!” - I’ve noticed a short grace period on relogging quickly.

Then it’s a bug, because it just showed up for me. Also, the temporal component is besides the point. It’s the fact that it’s there, and it shouldn’t be. Even if it is intended.

It’s not a bug. It’s intentionally there. You just may not have noticed it before.

Clearly, it is part of the point because you tried to claim it was never there before and asked for proof it was. I’m sure that this one feature, for the one flight path per zone, is not game-breaking, game-changing, classic-altering or inauthentic.

Want to know another feature that wasn’t original? ‘Are you sure you want to accept this trade’ when trading. I’m almost absolutely positive that feature was not in classic, and was added for player protection.

There are quite a few differences. It doesn’t make sense to have an auction house in Darnassus if there isn’t a boat to SW, for example. I still give them a 98% out of 100% though.

It was in Classic beta, see below #6 at 3:53.
