[Request] Release of the macros API?

I think it would be a great time sync until release if we can work on setting up some macros for classic. I remember reading somewhere the API would be similar to live but with newer features disabled because they were not available in classic. Is there an official API documentation for classic being released?

Yeah I’m kind of holding my breath until the ‘beta’ comes out. I need to know if I can make mouseover macros because I’m not healing without them.

Even if they don’t do a beta or give us the API before hand it’s not going to be that big a deal. Other than the ultra-try-hards, most people are not going to be high enough level for it to matter inside that 1st month, so addon makers will have plenty of time to get addons for Classic done.

I don’t know why the mage was my default avatar. I switched to my workout themed orc warlock. I think beta has to be released with the macro API active so theoretically this has already been complete for the employee Alpha.

That’s only the Web API, not the in-game one though.

Do you have a direct link? Nothing I’ve seen says there’s anything there on the in game API. And I can’t see it myself.

I saw the “game data API” and skimmed, shoulda actually looked at the commands. I stand corrected.

Yeah, I’ve searched for actual documentation for years. WoWWiki has information by trial and error and there’s some interface formats and events in the “API Documentation” Addons, but its all piecemeal. A simple site with the same level of documentation seen on develop.battle.net would be enormous.

What caught me was the threads on the forums. There are people asking about Classic addon API.

You’d think the regulars would direct people to addon API docs.

I need to finish two addons. One buff checker, that makes sure I have every buff, based on the membership of the party/raid, and another personal one to help with dualboxing.

TargetLastTarget variants exist. Not as smooth but it works. Need add-ons though
