This probably won’t help, but I suppose it can’t hurt.
One of my favorite helms in the game had the model changed in a patch, sometime after 2019. I don’t remember exactly when, but I “submitted a suggestion” and “submit a bug” tickets about it a few times to try and get it changed back. Of course, never happened. I used to mog it all the time but haven’t since they changed the model.

The ear flaps allowed for Gnome ears sticking out (they are pretty powerful tbh) and now the flaps just lay down and cover them. Low priority, ikik.
The ears stuck out on a number of old helms like this and I found it endearing. The only same model helm like this that still allows it is the Infiltrator Cap.
