Do you max out reputations while an xpac is current or do you prefer to grind out reputations after an expansion? Do you care about optional reputations (like Honeyback Hive) or do you not care about reputations at all? If you do like maxing reputations, do you like having the achievement points or do you like the goodies you can get at exalted?

I personally grind out the reputations during the current xpac and then go back to the old ones later. I love collecting tabards, mounts and gear and seeing those funny bars filled up. I’m very thankful to have started mid Legion before Chromie time because when I wanted to start maxing reputations I already had some of the main story reps about halfway to exalted throughout multiple expansions.

I generally get all the major reps to Exalted/max Renown during the expansion then I’ll work on the other ones as I’m in the mood.

I complete most of them during the expansion in which they are introduced.

Depends entirely on the rewards. Like, I’m really struggling to find a reason to grind Niffen rep because I’m just not interested in the rewards; while I maxed out Marruk Centaur because I like the banner transmog.

I repeatedly get reps to exalted on every character

There are multiple times where I have done bloodsail buccaneers on 5 different characters… Pre grey/white transmogs

i have maxed them during wod, legion, SL, and SF. I didn’t play cata, wotlk or mop so i have been picking those up when i feel like it. 109/110 reps with NO reward for 110 achievement? i did recently go back to desolace to pick up both centaur reps. there is a quest chain now that end with you having both at exalted. they count for exalted reps too.

as for there being no reward, blizzard? hello? :wink:

It has more to do with the content than it being a rep.

I’m maxed out on renown across far more characters than will ever need it. I enjoy world quests.

I very much want the cobolt assembly profession recipes for my alts but am not touching that place again unless I get waaay down my todo list.

I wouldn’t mind speaking Furlbog on every character, but I’ve exhausted my interest in grinding mobs for hours.

Similarly, there’s a rep in Shadowlands (the avowed?) I haven’t touched since Shadowlands ended and I’m not sure I’ll ever revisit it.

And I still haven’t finished the vanilla goblin reps - again, farming mobs endlessly is not my thing.

Well this is my first xpac and im just starting to care about them. I think that personally im more interested in the rewards, and i like a lot of old rep rewards like netherwing, shaohao for example. But on the same hand i hyper focused wrathion rep because i like him and the reward of black scales was really cool.

Is the bloodsail buccaneers rep hard to get maxed out?

It’s not difficult but it is tedious; you basically just murder Goblins like its going out of style.

It then gets doubly so if you want to grind their rep back without losing the Bloodsail rep due to the pirate genocide in Tanaris.

I barely care about them when theyre current, let alone when they’re not.

For the most part i dont really try to max any reputation out.
I just take what the game gives me as I play the content i play.
In DF i worked a lil bit to get all reps to 10 at least to give all my alts a lil help.
I may try to focus a lil more for things locked behind reputation that i may want if it decide its worth the grinding id have to do.

I just did the furlbog one on two characters - takes about an hour to do.

I generally max out all the major renown/reps on my main, some of the others I’m not too fussed about.
I still haven’t really touched the Cobalt Assembly, nor the Winterpelt Furbolg, rep.

There is only one rep I do not have yet (besides the Shen’dalar and Zandalar Tribe which were removed before I started this new account) and that’s the Talon’s Vengeance rep from Legion. Might take me a while to get to that one because I LOATHE pet battles and have to do a bunch to even unlock the ability to start the rep grind.

I also don’t have the Pandaren starting zone rep because I’m not a panda, but I don’t really care about that one because you can’t get it to exalted any way.
