After the patch last week, I’ve had two of my exalted reputations returned to 0/3000 neutral.
At first, they were just missing from my reputations tab, but upon doing a world quest for these factions (still farming currency for them), the rep reappeared at 0/3000 neutral.
I tried opening a ticket, but just got an automated response to “check other possible solutions.”
Reputation is really the one thing I dedicate my time to in this game, so having sunk months into Waveblade Ankoan and Obsidian Warders, and having it reset to neutral, then getting no help from customer service really discourages me to wanna continue playing this game.
I saw that people who had achievements reset had them fixed, so hoping for the same for reps, but not too hopeful based on Blizzard not even acknowledging this anywhere on the forums.
That’s not good. I forgot to check it after the update this week but last week the rep outright disappeared from my paladin. Now I’m worried it reset it to zero because I was working on it as well.
For me, it was missing but reappeared after doing a world quest that gave rep. So I would advise not to do any world quests for them for now, or it may then pop up as 0/3000 neutral.
I saw only one other post about this subject, and someone in the comments said they opened a ticket but the GM couldn’t do anything to fix their rep.
Not sure how true it is, since I can’t imagine they wouldn’t be able to put you back at exalted, but if that’s the case I’m going to have to think real hard about continuing to play since it’s the one thing I really put effort into collecting.
Currently still in the process of getting my ticket answered by a human being rather than automated response.
Noticed a couple of reps were neutral after the 11.0 patch as well. CS forum post, bug report forum post, and added comments on other peoples’ report posts who were in similar situations, but nothing.
Honestly I’ll be surprised if it gets fixed at all. Blizzard has said nothing about it. Not to mention this could happen in the future with new reps as well.
Makes me question why I would even bother trying to get reps up or continue playing when progress can be scrapped from a bug and not fixed ASAP.
I think what bugs me the most is the lack of acknowledgement about it being an issue. I would have a lot more confidence if they’d at least acknowledge it. In one of the threads, someone mentioned a specific rep would reset each time they logged out, and it happened 4 different times. So they’d get some rep, logout, and when they came back online, the rep had reset.
On another thread people were saying the rep is absent from the list until you talk to a quartermaster or gain rep by killing something. But then when it shows up in the list, it was reset to neutral. I’ve even seen people say they were exalted and the patch reset them to neutral as if they’d never interacted with that faction at all.
Even today I was getting those conflicting messages where I’d kill something for rep, and my chat window would say something like:
Your reputation with xyz increased by 300.
Your reputation with xyz decreased by 278.
I just wish they’d acknowledge this as a BIG problem. I don’t have the answers on how to tackle it, but… something has to be done here.
Are you guys able to check if you still have the benefits of ur previous rep level? Ie can buy items off the quartermaster locked to certain rep requirements.
It could be a visual issue. As i believe thats what the earlier achievement issue was.
No, you cannot buy items that are locked behind rep walls.
Have been farming prismatic pearls for Ankoan but now I’m back at neutral and can’t buy the mount even if I had the pearls needed.
My biggest worry about this is that Blizzard will not restore peoples reps and we either farm it all again or give up. Tickets are accomplishing absolutely nothing with automated responses.
This is especially heart breaking, since reputations are really the one thing I try the hardest at collecting. All the time spent… severely unhappy with this company right now.
