Reputation Required to Transmog Tabard?

So, on my Paladin I have this really cool transmog idea, so I go to the transmogger, get my gear and look for tabards that might look good on it. “Oh look, Wrynn’s Vanguard looks pretty good, I’ll just use that!”. I log on to my warlock who is exalted with the faction required to get the tabard, and naturally I buy it. I log back onto my Paladin and it’s still locked.

I scour the WoW forums for answers, and find out that if I want to use the tabard, I have to get exalted on my Paladin, despite the fact I’m already exalted on my warlock.

One question, Blizzard.

WHY?

When I found this out I was so disappointed, why are transmog rules like this? Why do I have to get exalted on my Paladin just to use a tabard when I’m already exalted on another character? This is just stupid!

Seriously, remove the requirement. There’s literally no point in having it.

tl;dr: I get exalted on my warlock, buys a tabard for that faction, wants to use it on my paladin, cannot because of stupid rep requirements.

Log back onto your warlock, open your appearance tab, and mark the tabard as a favorite.

This should remove the buyback timer and allow your other characters to freely mog the tabard without having to wait for the timer.

You did used to need the rep on each character, but they did remove that in 8.1. As the above post says, the buyback timer is still on the tabard so it isn’t added to the wardrobe yet. Favorite it to add it immediately and you should be good to go.

Agh, I’m stupid. I thought the restriction was still in place. Thanks for your help!
