Reporting suicidal player

Why is there no way to report a player who is possibly suicidal in-game? This player said they were suicidal and other concerning things. I think they need some help. Is it not possible that GM’s or someone can review the chats of said player and take appropriate steps to help the person? I called a suicide prevention line and they said without identifying information they nor the police can or will be able to do much other than trying to contact Blizzard.

Use an actual phone to call Blizzard. They have, in the past, contacted players who express suicidal desires.

One time I had someone who made real life threats against me, said they were gonna murder me and told me to kill myself lol, obviously they don’t know me but I decided to take action anyways by submitting a ticket., I think “murder” or “kill myself” trigger red flags on tickets because I got a response in 20 minutes.

because it’s not blizzards job dude. there is a suicide hotline for that, only thing you can do is give that number to those players, blizzard or any corporation can’t do anything, they literally can’t do a thing. So if you care, talk to that person and give them a number. With damn covid lockdowns, plenty of kids are suicidal lately. I’ve seen dozens show up at our local hospital in last few months, never like that before (before it was almost never), and those are the once who showed up on their own.

I highly doubt that. They don’t have the authority to act… Sounds like way too nuch liability.

Submit a ticket and keep talking to the player.

By contacting the company who has access to customer information, it is possible for them to relay to local law enforcement for a wellness/welfare check. Not that this company or the state in which they are located allows this but it possible.

Definitely submit a ticket and thank you for showing your concern for a fellow gamer.

Yeah sounds like an auto bot response, sends a priority alert to whoever monitors tickets
