Reporting for Duty

Please stop making quests that require me to follow and NPC while they talk at me for 2 minutes.

Follow and NPC? At the same time? That’s skill. I can’t even cast and walk at the same time.

They need to add the ability to right click and follow NPCs the way you can players (assuming you can still follow players like that).

Its funny because of the things I hear from people who have played both WoW and Final Fantasy is how immersive FF14 is with regard to the npcs and their conversations. I played it myself for a couple of weeks and it was very obvious that for that game, the story being carried forward by the NPCs we interacted with was as important as the questing itself.

Yet I do see posts like the OP’s saying, I don’t like all the chat. So what exactly do you want OP, just a bubble with the quest name, what do do and how to do it, the reward and thats it? No story as such, just go there, do that, get stuff?

I’m not saying it is right or wrong, I am just asking.

This is why naps are always better. I think you were a druid at heart.

Sendrax: “We need to get to Dragonheart Outpost.”
Me: “Okay, meet you there.”

I liked the EQ approach where the quest dialogue is saved to your quest history that you can review at a more convenient time. Sure you can probably look it up, but it doesn’t quite have that same personal touch.
